Buying it for the scanner, and occasional printing

Summary: I agree with everything said by the other reviews. But ... YOU ARE NOT BUYING THIS UNIT FOR THE PRINTING. Saying that, the scanner works great and this would be the only reason you buy this unit. I scan constantly, 10 - 25 items per week or more. The scanner works and works - has never failed. The printer on the other hand, has mostly ink problems. It eats ink. The ink cartridges are in a very strange position so changing ink is really rough.
Summary: The quality of the printing is OK, but extremely costly in the long run. For the money you save from buying such a cheap printer, you'll pay for by buying the print cartridges. I don't recommend this printer. Go with Canon.
Summary: I like to call this our one time use printer. It is flimsy like a one time use camera and it is overly priced. I did happen to find this one on clearance for less than $40 at Target and bought it to see if Epson would be a good replacement for my HP. I went for something entry with a scanner because we do banking from home and scan checks. The print quality is so-so. I had a HP photo smart printer that printed great. Installing the cartridges were a pain at first.
Summary: This printer fails in all areas of printing, but the scanner's not bad. Con When printing, it jams on every third print or so, and gobbles up far more ink than is reasonable. The print head seems to be slamming itself back and forth, shaking the whole printer with every line. The tiny ink cartridges last for barely 50 prints, and then cost $14 at the cheapest. At ~30 cents a print, for just the black ink, this printer is horrendously expensive.
Summary: I have been using the NX125 for 3 days now. I can tell you I am not happy with it at all. True as another wrote, it does not come with the USB cable, but that is not an issue for me, so that has nothing to do with my review. Here it is in a nutshell. Printing is not up to par, the black ink typewritten stuff is OK, so-so, but not great. The scanner is good, so definitely worth the price of $30 for a scanner.
