Do you want a slow printer which breaks easily? No? Oh...

  • Excerpt: Where do I start with this printer? This was the first multifunction printer which we ever had. We bought it as my Mom was setting up her own business and wanted to print out lots of leaflets to drop through letterboxes. When we first got it home we tried setting it up. That was a hasstle.
  • Pros: When it does actually print, it does a decent job
  • Cons: Slow setup, slow printing, outdated, breaks

Unless you like the feeling of rage building up when printing, you should avoid this.

Look elsewhere for a better quality all-in-one printer

  • Excerpt: I had to buy only one printer for me to do my secondary school work on and you would have thought that as it has lasted me this long it would be a good sign. However, it is such a bad printer that I have virtually stopped using it and now only print in emergencies.

  • Excerpt: The printer itself is a brilliant buy for the price tag of £35. It suits the need of a household printer and also does good quality photos and has handy quick touch photocopy buttons. Also it benefits from a very simple scanner.
  • Pros: Cheap; Does the Job Well
  • Cons: Loud; Slowish; Ink - block !

Epson Stylus DX4500

  • Excerpt: My Epson CX3200 did a lot of excellent work for years until the red light came on indicating a scanner error - a common error, it seems. The nearest Express Centre declared that its life had ended so sold me a DX4450 as being "similar" and a replacement for the CX3200.
  • Pros: Cheap
  • Cons: Very noisy, very slow, cumbersome to use

  • Excerpt: DO NOT BUY. I cannot believe others have given this greater than one star. I have been SO disappointed in the printer - it uses ink like there's no tomorrow and the printer heads get blocked so often you have to use about 1/8th of the cartridge getting the printer "cleaned" This works for about 10...
  • Pros: None
  • Cons: Slow, Ink consumption Very High, Inconsistent printouts .

  • Excerpt: This is my third epson printer and the first one I have had that is a combination of scanner and printer. Both the prvious epsons were just printers. I was rather suprised by how big the DX4450 was, but then I was saving room by not having a seperate scanner.
  • Pros: A good all round printer and scanner
  • Cons: Noisy

Epson printer/scanner/copier, quality or not?

  • Excerpt: I wanted to buy a printer which was reasonable quality, quick and had cartridges that lasted through a lot of prints. Print Quality/Speed The speed is generally quite quick, obviously full colour photos take a lot longer than black documents.
  • Pros: User - friendly, cheap printer and can be good quality
  • Cons: Drinks ink, noisy, plasticy

The printer for everyone

EVIT, Ciao

  • Excerpt: I bought this printer because my previous Canon broke and it costed more to repair it than buy a completely new one (and with more options too). All I wanted was A PRINTER with inexpensive cartridge...
  • Pros: separated and inexpensive cartridges, multifunction, good price
  • Cons: for that price, not really any
