Excerpt: I don’t mind this, as I don’t need to use this function very often and when I have to then I tend to start this doing what it’s doing and then go do something else in the meantime. At worst it can take about 6 minutes, which can feel like an age when you are watching it, but again for the price I don’t mind that.
Excerpt: "well, back when i bought this fine printer, it Was grat for the price.. couldn't complain back then, but as now (which most people reading this should know...) Windows 7 is now the leading Operating System However, the drivers for the Scanning on this do not function At All on windows 7, at least, not the 64-bit version which is now supplied with most computers / laptops. But if you don't use windows 7, it's not essentially bad at all, but the colouring ...
Pros: reliable and ink doesnt try out quickly, very cheap
Cons: picture can sometimes have odd colours, Driver support is terrible
Summary: The Epson Stylus printer was bought as an inexpensive solution whilst I was updating my computer equipment. It connects to your computer using a USB cable and does not require any complicated set up. It does not print in fantastically high quality, despite the fact it seems to drink costly ink very very quickly.
Summary: I have been using this printer for a good 2 years now and, overall, it has been very reliable. It was initially very cheap to buy even then and came with a set of cartridges (which did not last long, though I understand they only half fill them in the factory - cheapskates!). I did not come with a cable though, which I had to go and buy - something of an annoyance, buying a device you can't even use without buying something else! The printer itself is pretty good.
Pros: Decent print quality, great scanner, simple software, cheap to replace cartridges (unofficially)
Cons: No USB cable included, can misbehave, very slow/noisy
Summary: Epson printer I have had this printer for about two years I think with varied results. So firstly epson is a really really good brand and it makes printers that are built to last, as my printer is relatively still in the same condition as I bought it, even after about two maybe three years! *Scanning* The printer is a multi functioning, all in one printer, as it firstly is a printer and it is also a scanner/copier.
Pros: Price, durable, good at printing text and ok at scanning
Cons: Quite noisey, in my opinion its not very good or fast at printing on normal paper
Summary: I'm keen on bargains and gadgets so the all-in-one aspect of this printer really appealed. I got mine from staples about 18 months ago now and it was £44 at the time. I had been looking for a fairly basic printer but this seemed to have more on offer for the same price. It hasn't turned out to be a gimmick either as having the scanner and photocopier is really useful.
Epson Stylus DX4400: All-In-One Printer great for the price
3 June 2009
Summary: Like the other users, I recently bought this All-In-One Printer just under a year ago. I was in a supermarket looking for a £25 cartidge for a bog standard £30 Lexmart printer when I saw this little (maybe not so little)beauty by Epsom. I had to do a double take £35 for an all in one? It wasn't miss labeled, and it was the best printer purchase I ever made. I love the fact that all the cartridges are separate.
Pros: Bargain Price, Nice styling, fairly economical to run only change one cartridge at a time
Summary: I picked this printer up when I upgraded my pc to Windows Vista as my old printer was not Vista compatible and with no plans to make the printer compatible I needed a new printing solution. This like most printers was very easy to install as it was just a case of plugging in the power cable to the mains and the usb to the pc and installing the software & drivers.
Pros: All in one printing solution, easy setup, great image quality, fairly compact
Cons: None that I have found so far and been using this for over a year now
Excerpt: "Well, I got the Epson DX4400 from Asda back in January 2008, and sent it back a couple of months ago. I saw it and it looked quiet good for how much it cost (£39.99 or £39.00 can't remember) so i bought it. When it was opened it was very well packages and took less than ten minutes to install. The instruction manual was simple and easy to follow, as was the installation on the computer. Installing the ink was ok and it was ready to print! For ...
Pros: It's got a scanner, ink mixing if the black runs out, great photo prints !
Cons: Quite slow when printing colour, expensive genuine ink, ink can tend to run out fast .
Summary: I've been using this printer for at least six months, maybe more. I bought it when I was looking for new ink cartridges for my old printer in the supermarket one day and noticed that it was only an extra £10 to get the cartridges along with a brand new printer! That's got to be worth my while I thought and bought this home with me. I found it really easy to set up and I can still remember now that this was the quickest printer installation I've ever gone through.
