Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER! Printer is 15 months old and the print-heads need replacing. I have printed approximately 50 times on this printer, I used it mostly for scanning pictures to the PC. Replacing cartridges for the 1st time and need new print-heads already. The print is so light and missing in spots, that you can hardly read it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER - it is JUNK! Epson support says take it to a printer repair shop for new print-heads.
Summary: If you haven't heard of "planned obsolescence" please look the term up. Epson made this product to work good for about a year. Right after I started having issues, I called technical support and documented the hardware issues. Although I only used Epson brand ink (which I spent hundred's of $'s trying to go through the various ink-wasting maintenance tasks to get it to work right), the ink continued to bleed onto documents.
Forget it if you want a decent paper-handling printer

Summary: I have put up with this printer for WAY too long. I can't stand it any more and I want to warn people. I am careful about reading reviews and shopping around before I purchase anything electronic, and I got suckered in. The printer turns out a good product IF YOU CAN GET THE PAPER FEEDER TO WORK and IF YOU CAN GET THE DOCUMENT FEEDER TO WORK. The paper guides are difficult to adjust and I get paper jams way too often.
Summary: So I bought a new set of Epson brand ink cartridges at $130 a pop. all colors, they don't work. Printer won't recognize the Epson ink cartridges. No matter what I do to reset it. I am not a moron, I know how to put the cartridges in, I am really a doctor. This printer prints pretty pictures but is not worth the trouble.
Complete waste of money - DO NOT BUY EPSON ARTISAN All-in-one!!!!!

Summary: Well, after reading the reviews and comparing features, I was duped into buying this 20 lb paperweight. Let me put it this way, if you want anything other than a low end copy machine, buy something else. My first inkling that this heap of shoddy manufactured plastic wasn't worth the money was the annoying groaning sound it made each time a computer "requested" that something be printed.
Summary: If I could return this printer I would but it is past the return window.timing. I have spent the last month trying to get it to work with my iMac 10.8.2 computer. I have finally accepted that this printer is just not compatible with my upgraded iMac. Epson support has given me long lists of items to check but I would need a degree in engineering from MIT to follow their instructions.
Summary: We purchased this printer about 10 months ago. We use it for a home office. All we ask it to do is print one single piece of paper at a time. This is the second one since our original purchase. The original "brand new" printer would take 6 times to print one 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper. It NEVER pulls the paper correctly from the tray. Epson themselves did not understand why it does this. They sent us another one "refurbished" it does the same thing.
Summary: I am a writer, and I print a lot of drafts, for which I need a printer that makes double-sided copies. Although this printer says it is capable of double-sided copies, it does not work right. A 20-page document (10 pages, front and back) will come up with either a paper jam or a cryptic message that tells me I have the wrong paper size at least three times.
Epson Artisan Review-Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is JUNK-Epson Warranty is a Scam
24 August 2012
Summary: Purchased this from another big-box electronics retailer and I have owned the Epson Artisan 800, 810, 837, C11CA52201 series All-In-One Printer for two years and because of; (1) the Artisan's inferior quality, (2) the Artisan's inferior internal parts design, and (3) Epson's Warranty Scam; never would I purchase anything made by Epson ever again.
Summary: I have owned 2 Artisan printers in the last 3 years. Unless Epson improves upon their Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) I will not own another one. My first one had the ADF gears crack which caused it to jam every time I tried to use it. The replacement they sent me did the exact same thing just after 1 year and of course they don't care at that point.
