Forget it if you want a decent paper-handling printer
NW Dryad "NW Dryad", Amazon

Summary: I have put up with this printer for WAY too long. I can't stand it any more and I want to warn people. I am careful about reading reviews and shopping around before I purchase anything electronic, and I got suckered in. The printer turns out a good product IF YOU CAN GET THE PAPER FEEDER TO WORK and IF YOU CAN GET THE DOCUMENT FEEDER TO WORK. The paper guides are difficult to adjust and I get paper jams way too often.
Summary: So I bought a new set of Epson brand ink cartridges at $130 a pop. all colors, they don't work. Printer won't recognize the Epson ink cartridges. No matter what I do to reset it. I am not a moron, I know how to put the cartridges in, I am really a doctor. This printer prints pretty pictures but is not worth the trouble.
Summary: If I could return this printer I would but it is past the return window.timing. I have spent the last month trying to get it to work with my iMac 10.8.2 computer. I have finally accepted that this printer is just not compatible with my upgraded iMac. Epson support has given me long lists of items to check but I would need a degree in engineering from MIT to follow their instructions.
Summary: We purchased this printer about 10 months ago. We use it for a home office. All we ask it to do is print one single piece of paper at a time. This is the second one since our original purchase. The original "brand new" printer would take 6 times to print one 8.5 by 11 sheet of paper. It NEVER pulls the paper correctly from the tray. Epson themselves did not understand why it does this. They sent us another one "refurbished" it does the same thing.
Summary: I am a writer, and I print a lot of drafts, for which I need a printer that makes double-sided copies. Although this printer says it is capable of double-sided copies, it does not work right. A 20-page document (10 pages, front and back) will come up with either a paper jam or a cryptic message that tells me I have the wrong paper size at least three times.
Epson Artisan Review-Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) is JUNK-Epson Warranty is a Scam
24 August 2012
Summary: Purchased this from another big-box electronics retailer and I have owned the Epson Artisan 800, 810, 837, C11CA52201 series All-In-One Printer for two years and because of; (1) the Artisan's inferior quality, (2) the Artisan's inferior internal parts design, and (3) Epson's Warranty Scam; never would I purchase anything made by Epson ever again.
Summary: This printer looks great sitting on my desk and has many nice features. Technically everything works the way it's supposed to - scan, copy, fax, cd print, etc. However, the colors that are printed even on high quality paper are all just OFF. Many of the colors look dull or muddy or washed out. I printed a few color documents on plain copy paper and they were such poor quality they all had to go straight in the shredder.
Can't See Cartridges, Epson No Help, Seller Not So Great
David Gurgel, Amazon
29 November 2011
Summary: Printer was received November 3. Installation was done on November 11 but failed because printer would not recognize ink cartridges. Calls to Epson on November 11 and November 15 received promises to overnight new cartridges. None were ever received. I bought new cartridges at Amazon and Staples; and these were tried on November 29. Printer would not recognize them. Amazon return request was submitted November 29.
Summary: " I am sorry to say, I tried 2 but both had the same problem by leaving streaks. I did multiple head cleaning with no change. I can not understand it neither could the Staples manager, Epson is usually a Quality produce... But Not This Time.
