Summary: DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER! Printer is 15 months old and the print-heads need replacing. I have printed approximately 50 times on this printer, I used it mostly for scanning pictures to the PC. Replacing cartridges for the 1st time and need new print-heads already. The print is so light and missing in spots, that you can hardly read it. DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER - it is JUNK! Epson support says take it to a printer repair shop for new print-heads.
Summary: If you haven't heard of "planned obsolescence" please look the term up. Epson made this product to work good for about a year. Right after I started having issues, I called technical support and documented the hardware issues. Although I only used Epson brand ink (which I spent hundred's of $'s trying to go through the various ink-wasting maintenance tasks to get it to work right), the ink continued to bleed onto documents.
Summary: I rarely rave about a printer, but this one is performing so much better than I anticipated. It's not a heavy use printer, say in an office with ten people; but for my single person office with lots of printing it's been wonderful. The top sale point is this printer is more miserly on ink, and I can set the ink saturation down for printing color on handouts, brochures and programs while I can increase it for printing Point of Sale bright and colorful pictures for my own...
Summary: The Epson Artisan 837 is an excellent disc printer. That is the main reason for the purchase. It replaces an Epson 810 which was great also. It is just too bad that this model is out of production!!!!!!
Summary: I bought this printer because I am very partial to the Epson brand and I needed a printer that would allow me to print directly on a printable CD. Paper CD labels do not work well in a player that does not have an ejection tray -- like those in many autos. I am quite pleased with the quality of this printer; photos turn out great too. Speed is excellent as well. I like this printer so well, that I've bought two. I would highly recommend this printer to others.
DO NOT PURCHASE THROUGH THIRD-PARTY AMAZON MERCHANT!

Summary: I purchased this printer on Amazon.com through one of their resellers -- Thunderbird Tech. About 3 months into the printer's life the printer began feeding multiple sheets, intermittently grabbing two or three sheets of paper instead of just one. I tried several different paper brands, including Epson's own paper. Nothing resolved it.
