Good printer until Epson says its time is up.

  • Summary: Had this printer for a few years. Photo print was ok, not great. Everything else was good. I bought this printer mainly because it could print onto DVD discs. Then one day I get an error saying the printer has reached its end of life. That is it I could not use the printer any more. Researched the issue on line with Epson and it said since the print filters were full the printer would no longer work.
  • Pros: DVD printing.
  • Cons: End of life for print filters

Epson Artisan 800 Wireless Photo All-in-One Printer

  • Summary: I was able to hook this computer up to a network in only a few minutes, and had it working from mac and PC in under 30 minutes. That's the good part. The bad part is that it's gone through the "test" cartridges supplied with the printer in the first hour of operation, and halfway through the high volume (99) cartridges in the next week of using the printer, and I don't use it a lot. It appears to be cleaning the heads every time I print which totally sucks.
