Lasted less than a year!

Akaijen, Amazon
27 March 2010
  • Summary: I bought this printer in late November 2008. I thought it was awesome. I'm a Mac user and had no trouble at all setting up the wireless, installing software, or using this printer. We loved the way it worked, the software, print quality, speed, low noise level, everything.

Not a solid performer, but good enough

Passion4Diving "seeker", Amazon
12 September 2009
  • Summary: I wanted to upgrade by ink jet printer as my previous Epson's ink well got full (the well that collects unused ink). My inclination was another Epson because of its print quality. What I wanted was an all-in-three printer (print, scan, copy) along with the ability to bring labels on CD/DVDs.

high print quality, high print price

Jason S., Newegg
14 July 2009
  • Pros: Prints a sharp looking disc. Like the separate toner cartridges. I've already printed 100 DVD inserts and 100 discs, and no real problems to speak of so far.
  • Cons: My only complaint is the same with just about every printer I've owned. Ink is outrageous, as usual.

Feed Me!

Michael R., Newegg
14 April 2009
  • Summary: Many new printers in this class suffer from a similar problem, but I can't imagine that this printer is really going through this much ink unless there is a physical or software glitch buried inside. Either that, or I have a serious problem with ink drinking mice in my office.
  • Pros: Outstanding print quality and vivid colors, especially on high quality paper in high quality print mode.
  • Cons: This printer eats more ink than any ink jet I've ever owned! I have replaced the entire ink set TWICE and have printed no more than 25 prints, most of those at 4x6. Admittedly, I have also printed probably a hundred or so other pages, but those had less than 15% coverage (typical text and occasio...

Follow Up Review

Michelle L., Newegg
8 April 2009
  • Summary: It still makes me wonder what is so special about their ink that it will only print on their paper.
  • Pros: I got the Epson paper in and it does print nice on "their" paper. So far I've tried the gloss and luster and both came out really nice. So as long as you stick with only "Epson" paper for this printer you won't be disappointed. However if you use another manufacturer you will be frustrated like I...
  • Cons: Only uses epson paper

Epson Arisan 700

Herbert L. Hillaker, Amazon
18 March 2009
  • Summary: Style, size and features are great, used the printer 6 times, printed four pictures, one CD and about half dozen docccuments playing with it and $70.00 worth of ink is gone. Am working with Epson on this and hope it can be corrected as this is my third Epson printer and I have never had a problem...

First Epson - A learning experience

S. Law "nasshorn", Amazon
26 February 2009
  • Summary: UPDATE #2: Jan. 3, 2012 Two things have happened since my last update. First, I accidentally broke the printer . . . and now it works much better. One day I was so upset at the way it was feeding the paper - see update below - that I slammed the paper drawer in thinking that I didn't care if it...

Mostly a really nice printer with a few caveats

Jon Jones, Amazon
20 February 2009
  • Summary: THE LONG With the recent demise of an office printer, and quirkiness of a disagreeable scanner, I decided it was time to replace them both with the purchase of a new all-in-one unit.

Flaky but works okay once you one that works and get it setup

APB, Amazon
17 February 2009
  • Summary: As others have experienced, the first one was dead on arrival. Just a message that an error had occurred. After receiving the second one and fighting with the poor installation process it finally worked and the print quality was good. CD printing is nice and looks really nice.

Good for casual use

Jonathan S., Newegg
16 January 2009
  • Summary: Personally, I will never again buy a bottom feeding printer.
  • Pros: Great image quality as always with Epson
  • Cons: I should have realized that this printer has to pull the paper from the bottom, and that I would hate it for that reason (the main reason I have avoided HP). Stops me from being able to print on business cards, "curls" certain papers, and is much less convenient. Seems to create anomalies on Text...
