Excerpt: Recently replaced a Brother MFC-9460cdn Color Laser All-in-One with Networking and Duplex Printing unit with this Dell C1765nfw Color Laser Multifunction Printer. While the Dell does not offer automatic duplex printing, it is much smaller, quieter and offers faster start up and first page printing, plus the quality is equally as good, if not better.
Summary: Bought this around black Friday in 2013. I wanted a Laser printer because every Ink Jet I've had in the past did not last very long. The ink dried out after only a month or two of sitting. I don't print often but when I do I want something to be ready. This printer does the job. I've printed anything from full color maps with extremely high detail to basic black and white documents.
Summary: This printer is great! I am so glad that I upgraded from an inkjet printer. This printers functionality is excellent! Hooking it up to my wifi network and printing from both of my computers via wifi was a breeze. I printed off a detailed topographic map to test the printers ability to print details clearly including depth. The map came out perfect. I then printed a 15 page book that was filled with color photos and illustrations.
but every PC and laptop has worked just fine with it

Summary: Had this for about 2 years now, I've saved so much in ink fees, I can get off brand toner for about $50 now (all four colors). It handles big jobs and small jobs really well, everything we've ever put it through. (biggest job was 394 pages in full color). Every once in a while it won't wake up on its own, but turning it off for about 10 seconds and turning it back on solves the issue for about two months.
Summary: No problems with printer. I use it in my home office. Relatively quiet to me. I haven't gone through cartridges enough yet to judge how long they last. Print quality excellent. One thing I wish I would haven known before I bought it, is to ask the seller when it was manufactured. There is a number on the inside of the panel which, when entered into the Dell website, will state date of manufacture.
