  • Summary: This is the biggest piece of junk we have ever had in my office.  After 4.5 months it was so beyond repair they sent a refurbished one to replace our original and that only lasted another 8 months.  That was just long enough to get out of warranty and become our problem.  now 13 months later i am looking for a new printer.  If you buy this printer you are a glutton for punishment.
  • Pros: you can find toner for it
  • Cons: Everything else

Won't install on Windows 8.1 systems.

  • Summary: The Dell "Easy" wireless setup doesn't work, and the installation disk provided with the unit would not install the drivers on a machine using Windows 8 or 8.1. Went to the Dell website for the "latest" drivers and software - same problem - would not install. There's a firmware update available, but you can't install it unless the drivers are installed first, and the firmware installation utility is buried in the computer with no shortcuts to find it.
  • Pros: Nice compact unit
  • Cons: Installation manual worthless, "Easy" wireless setup isn't., OEM installation software crashes on Win 8 and 8.1 will not install drivers., Firmware update from Dell has no instructions, and firmware utility will not work unless drivers are installed.
