Excerpt: The printer has great features for the price, but the stupid printer will not maintain a network connection for more than a day. What's the point of a wireless printer if I have to get up and unplug it from the wall to get it to reboot before I can print anything? Never buying a Dell printer again. All the other feature are completely worthless since it won't maintain a network connection.
Would be great if if could maintain a wifi connection...but it won't

Summary: The printer has great specs and features for the price--particularly wifi connectivity and airprint. That said, those are both absolutely worthless due to the fact that the printer won't stay connected to the network. Print quality is fine, scans are good, the printer software works acceptably well, but what's the point of a wireless printer if I have to go unplug it from the wall and let it reboot before I can print to it?
Excerpt: While this prints well, and we enjoy the wireless printing option, the toner cartridge has less than half the stated lifetime. My previous copier/printer/scanner would get at least 2500 copies for the same priced toner. This unit gets 700! I don't know what kind of blank pages they copied to be able to report getting 1500 copies per cartridge. and when it is out, it stops printing...no coaxing a few more copies. VERY DISAPPOINTING.
Summary: Needed a new scanner when my Canon would no longer work when I bought a windows 8 laptop. decided to give this Dell printer a try since it included a scanner. initial setup was easy, I was even able to install without having to use the CD as I was able to just download the software from the Dell website. the printer worked fine and I really liked the wireless feature and not having to use a printer cables anymore. until I changed a setting on my wireless network at home.
Summary: All I have to say is that I enjoy this printer. As a college student, I do need to print out many notes and documents as well as assignments for class and let me tell you this printer comes in very handy. The main reason I bought this printer is because of the ability to print many documents efficiently and economically.
Summary: Electronics are always a gamble. Usually they work fine, sometimes they just don't, right out of the box. So with electronics, it's smart to check the warranty. You probably won't need it, but you might. I needed it. This printer (purchased directly from Dell) was easy enough to set up. Wireless connection was made quickly. But it never printed properly. Draft quality at best and that only on the left side of a page.
Summary: I bought this directly from Dell and I love it. All my laptops and tablets found it on my wireless network real easy. It has most features that everybody needs. Very well priced and the off-brand toner cartridges are cheap.
Excerpt: It was quick to setup on my home network. It's accessible from all computers in network. But when it goes to sleep mode, it becomes difficult to print document. I work from a home a lot and can't use it when I am on VPN. Also, I had to re-install the drivers twice on one machine before I could start using it. The toner is very costly. Print quality is good. Printing is reasonably fast for a laser. It has a bright blue LED, which is kind of mildly annoying in night.
