  • Summary: Don’t let this Dell’s name fool you, if you want a proper photo-orientated MFD there are far better options. It’s a good buy if you run a home office though!

Dell Photo All-In-One 966 Printer

PC Magazine

  • Conclusion: The Dell Photo All-In-One 966 Printer is strong on photo quality and functionality, including printing, scanning, and working as a standalone copier and fax machine.
  • Pros: High-quality graphics and photos. Prints directly from cameras and memory cards. Copies, scans, faxes.
  • Cons: Slow. Subpar text quality. Duplex and network options come separately and have to be installed.

Review: Dell Photo All-In-One Printer 966

17 February 2007
  • Conclusion: This printer has a lot of great features, more than any other All-In-One printers that I have tested. There are many features that make printing really easy. With Media card slots, PictBridge, Bluetooth, wire and wireless networking, you have all the connection options you need.

  • Summary: Despite combining plenty of functions in a single unit, the Dell Photo All-In-One 966 isn't a good value for the money due to its modest quality and performance. It's nice that you can configure the unit with several options, but you're looking at quite an investment (about $576) if you choose them...
  • Pros: Built-in Wi-Fi, Ethernet, and fax; includes automatic document feeder
  • Cons: Slow printing, must swap cartridges for photos
