Dell 926 - Nothing but a problem!
9 September 2012
Excerpt: When this printer did work, I loved it! However, the working time was very limited! Seemed to go through ink rapidly. The rear paper feeder seems to be a very poor design. Overall, I would say I was very disappointed!
Excerpt: My father bought my husband and I a Dell Photo 926 All-in-One Printer when my last printer died. He ordered it online straight from the Dell site and had it shipped to my house. My husband and I were quite dismayed when it arrived. It was HUGE, HEAVY, and super BULKY! It takes up so much space that it looked funny at my small desk. It was easy to set up the software and get it connected to my computer. There were minimal cords and the software guides you through...
The Dell all in one photo 926 printer was great at first,....

Excerpt: The Dell all in one photo 926 printer was great at first, now it sucks! It has a lot of features that I like in a printer. I could hook my camera right up to my printer and print my pictures from there. I could also put the memory card in the slot and print away. My cell phone worked the same way via USB cord. I liked the fact it had a scanner so I put information on my computer or even make copies of documents for school, work or even personal stuff, which was cool.
Only works half of the time and scanner doesn't work at all.

Excerpt: I have had the Dell Photo 926 All-in-One printer for almost 4 years now. The printer "conveniently" came with my Dell laptop. From the start, the scanner has not worked. When I try to scan things, weird symbols and characters come up on my computer - definitely not the document I was trying to import. When the printer decides to work, it prints fairly well. For a photo printer, however, it is quite a hassel to always change the printer settings so that the pictures...
Excerpt: I have had this printer for about 2-3 years and i already have experieced problems with it. The only good things about this printer is that it can print pictures, has a scanner, and prints well. On the other hand i really think this thing is posessed! One minute it works fine, then when it runs out of ink it starts to go all malfunction on us. Also the ink is an issue, first off the ink is not cheap at all, we have to buy ink almost twice a month from barely printing.
Excerpt: I bought this printer a couple years ago when buying my Dell desktop. It looks attractive and seemed like a good all-in-one printer. When I purchased it, ink cartridges were only available through Dell. Inconvenient and expensive since you had to pay shipping too. Now they are available at Walmart for the same price 15.97, but without the shipping cost.
Cons: It drinks ink like an extremely thirsty person in the Sahara. After 3 years it suddenly failed to take on new color ink and would not print the top half dozen lines or so of material. Our previous Dell printer worked fine for much longer than that.
"Typical Inkjet Ink Guzzler Always Prints Alignment Page"

Pros: Once it successfully prints a page of text it prints ok and it does it fast. Its a shiny object that looks like it should work.
Cons: Every time a job is sent to the printer, it decides to print 2 pages of print head alignment.(sucking more ink needlessly) The scanner doesn't get used much, but seems to work on small photos ok. Photos always come out banded.
