Dell makes a quality printer for a hobbist like myself.
1 December 2012
Summary: I have owned a prior 926 so I knew what I was buying. It is a good printer with photo quality. The weakness of this machine is the ink cartridge carrier is not as good as the rest of the printer, my first one broke! Dell ink cartridges are spendy, but the print quality makes it worth while for me. I keep another printer, a Canon for text printing. Saves money. The 2 together make a good set up for my home office and hobby printing.
Summary: Get a HP officejet, way better for your money....This dell printer is somewhat cheap, and breaks. I had to buy another because the first one broke. (used only for envelopes for small business) Bought another for simple install (used exsisting wires from dead printer) HP officejet for everything else, officejet has GREAT quality, speed and cost of ink is better than this dell...
Excerpt: I have found the scanning and copying features of this printer to be great, as well as the print quality. It has ports, on the front, for your camera card or wire, which makes transferring photos a snap! It's quick and easy. It DOES seem to use alot of ink though, especially if you print alot of photos.
Excerpt: I bought this 926 All-In-One Photo Printer when we bought a new computer. The price was originally $99 but with instant rebate I got it for $39, so I was very happy with that. It is very easy to use. Set up was very simple and it took a very short time to learn how to scan and print. I am very happy with the unit, and if I ever had to replace it I would definitely get another Dell. The quality of the scans is great, especially at 300dpi.
Excerpt: Love this new All In One. I was a bit sceptical at first, but since receivingit, we use it ever day. It does great photos, and for everyday printing copying it does the job. Give it a try, you'll like it too!
Excerpt: The dell 926 all-in-one printer is very easy to use in all areas, pictures turn out life like, the scanner oh my i would be lost with out the easy and quality it gives me,great fax ability,it has many options and very easy to operate, thanks dell.
Prints great, ink cartages are expensive and can't be refilled

Excerpt: The Dell all in one printer is versatile but large. I like it can fax, copy and print. However, the ink cartages can't be refilled and replacing them are expensive, $ 20.00 for black and close to $30. for colored.
Excerpt: I have gone through 2 of these printers. The one I have still hiccups. But a good bang for the buck. I do hope to upgrade. I print more than the average person. I love how it scans and how quick you can get around the programs. Also, the software is awesome. If I spent a little more and upgraded, I probably will be more positive about it. I print alot of letters, my wife prints the letters on her Epson and I will print the envelopes.
