Summary: I hook up this printer about every six months to perform simple tasks and have problems with it every time. The screen menu is hard to navigate . It uses a lot of ink. It will pretend to print, only to spit out blank pages. This is a terrible product and I will never buy anything from Dell again.
Summary: I have always trusted Dell products because I have own a few Dell brand products because I felt Dell was reliable and dependable...My experience with this Dell 924 All in One Inkjet Printer was A HORRIBLE ONE! I CAN NOT RATE THIS PRODUCT BECAUSE IT IS WAY PAST POOR.I could NOT get this printer to print at all. It would not copy, scan, or anything. The ink cartiridges are very expensive. I am stuck with over $124 in ink for a printer I can not use.
Summary: PIECE OF GARBAGE PRINTER. Not bad in between problems and hassles. It's a challenge to change the print cartridges! They have to snap in just so. I just went to change my cartridge to finish up my Christmas project and the cheap plastic piece that holds the cartridge in snapped and broke off. Now I have no printer!!! Probably not even worth it to get fixed. Will NOT buy one from Dell. Their customer service is as bad as their products!
Excerpt: THe Dell Photo 924 was a huge waste of money. The first one I got broke within two weeks of having it, and I had only used it about three times! THe next one they sent me was in German, and I had to get it reset over the phone, which is difficult when you are speaking to someone from another country with a very thick accent! The good thing was that they sent a prepaid postage box to take back the broken one and could help me with the one in German over the phone.
Summary: I am not trying to offend the seller or anything,but this printer SUCKS .............BADLY.I mean come on.Who gets a printer and the first thing it says when you turn it on is error.What!!Thats crazy.I know the price was cheap and all,BUT,now I see why.
Summary: I've had this one for two years and it has stopped printing and gives an error message telling me the cartridges are missing, when they are not. Cleaning the contacts makes no difference. Rebooting makes no difference. I'm ditching it and getting an HP. This is the last time I buy a Dell product. From here on out, I'm going Mac or HP.
Summary: Nothing but problems with this printer ever since I got it. Random paper jams on printing, complete shut downs during photo copying, poor photo scanning quality, EXPENSIVE cartridges, etc. Got so frustrated with it a few days ago trying to copy a few things I literally smashed it to bits with 5 double-fisted over head blows to the printer. Best thing I ever did, forced me to get a new one.
Summary: I bought the Dell 924 AIO Inkjet Printer/Scanner/Fax/Copier because I wanted a new printer and a new scanner and it had the bonus options of copier and fax; seemed like a great idea. It is a nice streamlined piece of equipment with good software, however, the paper feeding is a problem. I get frequent incorrect errors displayed on the digital readout which say "out of paper" or "paper jam" each of which prevent processing.
