Summary: We ordered this item from Amazon with a quick delivery and have used this printer for three months now and we all agree that THIS IS THE BEST SMALL OFFICE/HOME PRINTER EVER...that's right...EVER! If you have had it with the unreliability of ink jets, and the price of ink, and finding that it is less expensive to buy a whole new inkjet printer than to buy just the multiple ink cartridges, and the pain of finding that if you try to conserve and not use the ink jet ink then...
Summary: I'm a computer professional running a small business. I've had this printer for about a year now, and have run several thousand sheets of paper through it. It is hard to see why anyone would look elsewhere for a printer. There are four models 2150 is printer only, 2155 includes scanner. cn is single sided, cdn includes duplexer. This is about my 2155cdn, but should apply to others. The printer is fast. It is high quality. It is designed for heavy use.
Summary: I thought this product was wireless, but had to buy a wireless card from Dell. I still have not been able to get the printer to communicate to my wireless devices. I thought the product had duplexing, but shame on me. I guess "manual duplexing" is just what it says.
Summary: don't buy this printer, no matter what. after discussing what I needed with dell, i ordered it. it arrived and I could not get it set up. after an hour with customer support, where they would not help me because my printer was not registered (the service tag number was not showing up), they told me to call back the next morning, which was saturday, because their computers were down.
Summary: All in one like an all in one should be. No cruddy driver bloat, no extra start up time on my computer or 1GB of extra junk that I'll never use. Built-in duplexing, toner save mode through driver, great color output as well as b&w. Scans come to the PC through linked apps or direct to PDF. Very fast output, scans are clear and blemish-free. Good enough for OCR. My only caveat would be of course if you have to replace the toner, be prepared for $100 per toner cart.
Summary: OK I have to brag, had a friend at Dell give me a 17% off discount when I ordered my computer system. Then he emails me a 30% off coupon for a printer and asked if I needed one. Wasn't planning on getting a printer, but with that discount I had to see what was available. When I saw the 30% was ADDED to the 17% system discount I had to jump on it. Bottomline it cost me $380! LOL It's pretty new but I managed to find one review to make sure it was good before I bought it.
Summary: Ok - So to the guy who bought a 3115CN.. Dell posts what OS's they support, and it shouldn't really be a surprise that Apple isn't as supported as you might like (sub 10% market share). The 2155 & the 3115CN are both business printers - designed for business/workgroup use - which means rarely Macs. If you want something that works with your Mac do your homework and make sure it'll work - and its supported. Apple has a list of supported printers they recommend.
Summary: I bought a Dell 3115Cn in September of last year originally running Mac OS 10.5. While the 2155cdn is a different printer, this is a general comment about DELL functionality with Apple. Product worked fine (printing, faxing, and copying). I'd give those functions 5 stars. I have never used the scanner and on the web (before buying the product I read a lot of negative reviews about the scanning function especially over the network).
Buy at your peril. If it breaks down out of warrantee dell says it can't be fixed.

Summary: I was offered an upgrade by dell to this machine 14 months ago due to a software problem with my previous machine which was only a couple of months old. It was a bit compicated at first but once we got used to it, it was ok to use. We then got a paper jam. The paper was cleared but the error message did not disappear and it would appear that we might have a small flimsy plastic arm broken close paper roller.
