Summary: I've rated this printer as a general use printer. It is not a photo printer, if you try to print photos you will be disappointed. For printing documents that look crisp and professional this printer is great. For general day to day usage it's also great. It's not particularly fast, it takes a little while to 'spin up'. The noise is acceptable. The best thing about having a colour laser printer is that it doesn't dry out or need the printer heads cleaning.
Great printer, replacement toner cost more than printer however

Summary: Great Color Laser Printer, I bought two!! Only caveat, Dell replacement toner will cost more than printer, but there are 3rd party replacement toner cartridges available on Amazon. I would complain if I could but was easy to setup, toner arleady installed, just plug USB cable (not included). Just tell windows to share printer and anyone in home network can print to it.
Summary: This printer is a rip-off, so is Dell. I had problems from the start.First the printer would not communicate with the computer. Dell did not send a CD. Dell helped me install the printer, over the phone, and then the real problems began. Now my printer can only work if I turn it on and off. Then the miricle ink cartridge which was supposed to last forever died more quickly than the cheap ink ribbon printer. Dell has tried to fix the printer over the phone 2x-no luck.
Best color printer that a $120 can buy! Unless some one can show me wrong.

Summary: The printer produces good color image, fsst printing, clear crisp taxt. This is the best printer that $120 can buy. However, I am afraid to say that the ink cartridges will be very expensive. So for black text, I'll use the monochrome printer. I'll only use this color printer for printing color stuff. It will be perfect for kid's school project/homeworks.
Summary: I was very skeptical on ordering a color laser for less than $100 , but I love this printer , we bought this one because color prints on our epson artisan where using way to much ink and the wife uses that one for high detail prints for art projects ect , to be honest in my opinion this printer has higher quality prints than the inkjet , besides the shading on black objects , have printed 215 full page color images so far and the low light on the black toner just came on...
Summary: Do a quick Google on this printer before you buy & you will find page after page of owners having "Deep Sleep" problems, it continually refuses to wake up when the pc is booted up. The only way I can get it to work is to uninstall & start again, this works for a week or so then we're back to it's usual tricks. I won't be buying another Dell laser.
Strictly basic Printing only avoid for anything else!

Summary: Prints out ok for basic A4 text printing and colour pictures where high quality is not needed. Not good on high quality colour printing though, it will print out without much depth to the colour even on decent paper. When printing out on gloss paper there is a tendency for the print to come of quite easily if figured.
Summary: I took a gamble on this printer as it was very cheap at the time when I bought it (£75) and I figured that if it lasted three or four years, it would be worth the saving over a more expensive printer. After just 13 months, however, the printer now no longer prints black, just a very pale grey with poor coverage. Speaking to Dell, it seems as if the print head drum for the Black toner has failed and as it is not replaceable, cannot be fixed.
