Excerpt: This printer was easy to set up including the wireless system. The printing is crisp and clear and it does all of the things it is supposed to do without any complaints. When a job starts up there is a lot of gnashing about, which I expected after a long term of inactivity, but this happens every time I use it. The ink seems to last quite awhile as I am still on the sample cartridges that came with the printer after probably 200 pages.
Excerpt: I needed a printer for my airbrushing business, and had actually decided on an HP. When I stopped by my local Staples store and the salesman asked what I intended to use the printer for, and I told him not only for documents and sales receipts, but also to print high detail pictures to be transfered via projector to my airbrush projects. He showed me the difference in detail from the HP I had intended to buy, and the Canon MX922...The difference was like night and day!!
Excerpt: After my older Canon printer stopped working, I began researching for my home's next multifunction printer. As I searched through PC magazine's current best printer lists, I found that Canon has been making good grades. So, discovering that this particular model, had a couple of features my old printer did not have, I was convinced that this was my best choice, considering the number of copies that we make in our household and cost of ink.
Excerpt: it seems to print very good, but takes a lot longer to figure everything out to print, and takes a long time to print things, you have to push the print NOW button to print things on the document printing mode, and then it prints. Never had to do that with my other printer. Sometimes the printer is claimed as NOT on line, when it is and I have to push the copy button to make it work??
Excerpt: Purchased this as a replacement for another brand printer. Set up went well, but a bit more time consuming than I expected. Based upon reviews I anticipated problems, but that was not the case, set up went very smooth, just time. At this point I like the printer and the quality is good. I have not scanned a document, attempted a fax, or copied using the sheet feeder. I have only had the printer a few days.
Conclusion: This is my second network printer. Installation has become a lot easier. I am on Apple iMAC computers and Apple Time Capsule router and had no installation problems. I have no problems with the computer working wirelessly. Teens love that it works with AirPrint to print from cell phones and iPad, etc. I also have it hooked up to the telephone line with an answering machine and have no problems as I have had with previous Network printers.
Conclusion: I needed a replacement printer and after much searching decided to purchase the MX922. The set up went well until the software installation. When the install was about to complete I got the following error: new port could not be created.:0000 Because I do support work I was able to determine that my Norton antivirus/firewall software was blocking the port creation. Disabling it for the install solved that problem.
Excerpt: Since my previous printer was a Canon and I had much success with it, I decided to go with Canon once again. Setting it up became quite a chore because the disc that came with it did not work. We kept getting the message that the disc was blank. Two of my sons worked for hours trying to figure out how to set it up so that I could use it.
Excerpt: I purchased the MX922 to provide printing capabilities for my iPhone and iPad. I have purchased another Canon Air Printer earlier for my condo, so I could print information that I receive when I'm away from the office. The Canon MX922 is easy to setup and if moved to a different wireless network, easily connects to the new network with very little effort.
