Very Slow

Photo Guy, B&H Photo
15 July 2015
  • Excerpt: While this printer does a decent job printing, it takes forever to get to the printing stage. It processes for a very long time, and after printing continues to go through all sorts of machinations, that goes on and on and on.............
  • Pros: Clean Replacement, Sharp Tones & Colors

Noisy and slow

Peter the Printer, B&H Photo

  • Excerpt: I've had this for only a short time, but I'm somewhat under-whelmed by this model. It's a noisy printer, start up is slow but the print is good. I can't comment how it prints photos, I use the Pisma Pro 9000 for that. Though, I see than Canon has improved their wireless set-up, somewhat.
  • Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors
  • Cons: Short Cartridge Life

Overall good but average...

Greg T., Newegg
19 February 2015
  • Summary: I think it did ok for what I put it through. As I mentioned, I don't think it's supposed to be used in a busy workplace environment, and I suppose I prematurely wore it out. My 850 at home has been going strong for over 4 years now, and I like it better, and makes just as good of photos and...
  • Pros: I've always been a fan of Canon's products. Set up is simple for USB or on your network. Instructions are fairly well laid out, and if you've had a PC for awhile and can run the basics, you shouldn't have any troubles. Some of the software that it comes with is quite handy, others are not. Everyt...
  • Cons: It is now dead, BER (Beyond Economical Repair) after 20 months or so. It will no longer feed itself paper from the tray...just makes a loud slipping/clicking sound. I took it apart and I think there's a stripped plastic gear in a place where I can only vaguely see with a flashlight. Not worth my ...

Leaked

HJC985, Staples
12 February 2015
  • Excerpt: The Canon PIXMA MX922 is an excellent printer until the printer started leaking, the reason for the 3 star rating. The prints were surprising good and would highly recommend this printer. The scans were good, and the device was quiet compared to my last multi-purpose printer.

not user friendly

Jan, Staples
12 February 2015
  • Excerpt: I bought this printer because it would print photos, printable CD's and DVD's,, as well as regular printing jobs. I only buy printers that have individual ink cartridges for economical reasons, so this printer appeared to have most characteristics I was looking for.

Plusses and minuses

lulu, Staples
9 February 2015
  • Excerpt: This is "more" printer than I really needed, but I bought it because it was on sale and I loved my old Canon. I wish I had realized it didn't have 2 "feed" locations like my old one (cassette and rear feed) - I really miss that! The dual drawers are kind of annoying - otherwise it works well.
