Excerpt: I bought this printer to replace an aging HP DeskJet 842C, which is still working and continues to print very nicely, but the ink is getting hard to find. Once the MX922 gets to actually putting ink on the page, it's rather snappy. But including the time from when one turns on the printer and clicks "print" at the computer until the finished copy is in the floppy "out" shelf of the MX922, one can print and read the copy from the old HP printer.
Pros: Amazing Automation
Cons: Dull Tones & Colors, Makes Noises Continuously, Output Door Flops Loudly, Short Cartridge Life, Slow To Start Up, Useless Software
Excerpt: OK ! I installed the Cannon PIXMA MX922 on the new Deasktop I also purchased from you the DELL 660 adn the install was very smooth. I take notice that the unit starts up over a period of time by resetting itself as if the ink pads were dry and it needed to warm them up. I also installed the disk in my laptop and tried to print from there, no go, it might be that I am not directly on the internet address but though a booster which has a different address.
Excerpt: I have had 3 HP all in one printers prior to this. For the price this is OK. I if were to do over again I would spend the extra money and buy another HP all in one. This makes quite a bit of noise prior to and after printing. This takes up a lot of time in-between print jobs. I like the scanning set up and how the paper tray comes down automatically. All in all ok for the price. The set up for scanning of files is not as good as the HP 8500 (previous printer).
Excerpt: The print quality is good but it's big and takes awhile to actually print? It's processing the print request for a long while before it prints. It's very noisy too lots of issues even after it's finished printing with noise and the ink cartridges going back and forth?
Excerpt: Nice looking All In One, however, it's very difficult to set up and connect wireless to my computer!! Have been working on this for 5 hours and still no wireless connection!!! Connection to modem has been established, but, not to computer!! Will report back on success!!!
Excerpt: This printer is sleek and appears to be an improvement over its earlier models in the pima line. The controls are similar and is an easy change over. Ink cartridges are a bit difficult to reach. Also, there is a known issue with the printer. At set up when the printer ink-heads self-align, an error message appears. Sometimes it can be fixed, by not without tech support. After spending one hour with tech support on this known issue mine had to be exchanged.
Conclusion: As far as a printer I think it's okay, nothing special. There are certainly color printer/scanners that do as good a job. What really burns me about the machine is how it's designed. It just doesn't feel like the guys who made it ever tried to use it. For instance, they recessed the USB slot, so the only kind of Flash drive you can use must be straight and narrow or else it isn't getting in.
Excerpt: If you want to print an envelope to go with a document, you have to change the paper in the tray too, even though it has two trays. The second tray only does 5x7. Also, the photo resolution is somewhat grainy. The print resolution is excellent. I don't know yet how it will be on ink.
Pros: Print Resolution Is Good
Cons: Envelopes Hard To Print, Very Slow To Print 1 Page
Excerpt: Ordered from Staples on August 6. Feed rollers often pull more than one sheet, making volume collation impossible. Called Canon, advised head cleaning, no change. Contacted Staples who kindly replaced the machine on October 30. Prompt service from Staples. However, the same problem exists on this second machine. Long time Canon user, very disappointed. Machine is noisy, slow to start, but once started prints well. Paper feed problem makes volume printing unreliable.
