Great printer, has all feature you would need apart from CD printing

Manraj, Amazon
27 March 2014
  • Summary: Great printer. Works well and I really like the multi scanning feature. Prints well for an average user but uses ink fast. I may opt for an additional mono black and white printer as the ink runs out quickly.

Pretty good bit of kit

The_Moose "Phil", Amazon
5 October 2013
  • Summary: It probably has more features than I need, but it does the important things really well: photo prints and scans are my main uses, and it is superior to our old iP5200. My only gripe is the way that it seems to drink coloured ink like it's water. Uses a lot more than I thought it would.

Good printer but could be more reliable

Arun K, Amazon
19 May 2013
  • Summary: I am just purchasing my 3rd replacement in 2yrs. 1st one got paper stuck and when I was less than gentle getting it out and the alignment was never right since and cheaper to buy replacement with included cartridges then send to replace 2nd one has developed issue with the print flow in colour after around 9- 10mths. Also a bit tempremental in the wifi set up initially. Hopefully third time lucky.

Tidy but Complex

Allwynne Fowler, Amazon
18 May 2013
  • Summary: Plenty of features. I needed to use it instantly and prints perfectly. The fax took longer than I Expected to set up. The ADF is extremely useful. It needs patience to understand all the features and the manual is complex but I am sure it will be worth while . Only one complaint.

So far so good

Sian&Rog, Amazon
13 April 2013
  • Summary: The issues with inkjet printers seem to be predominantly ink costs and output quality. Having only had it a week or so, I can't comment on the first of these. Cynics say that printer manufacturers are really in the business of selling ink and toner - the actual machines are a bit of a sideline. We'll obviously try generic refills when the time comes. I can say that so far: The set-up was painless, using wireless to link to several devices.

Canon Pixma MX895

Mr. Alan Jaye, Amazon
19 March 2013
  • Summary: So far I am very pleased with this printer. It does everything that I need it to do. I'm still getting to grips with the various settings but the quality of printing is good. I also like the Photo and Layout Print options and the Duplex option. My reason for marking this printer down a star are as follows:- It does seem to drink ink.

Easy to use

CannonConvert, Canon
28 February 2013
  • Conclusion: Easy to set up and use. Apple Airprint is great, except that there is no option to print in black and white, it defaults to full colour. Surely this would be an easy software update to make. I mostly print in black and white, but I get quite surprised that the colour ink seems to "evaporate", getting warnings that it is nearly run out when I haven't been using it.
  • Pros: Reliable, Easy Setup, Durable, Easy to use
  • Cons: High Ink Consumption

Great multi-function inkjet, a little on the thirsty side

J. Turnbull, Amazon
16 February 2013
  • Summary: I bought this printer as a replacement for an ageing HP Officejet 6310 All-in-One. The print quality compared to the HP, even on plain paper is like comparing a Da Vinci with my kids hand printing - it's that good a difference. The duplex function works fine and there haven't been any paper jams in the few months I've been using this.
