Great all in one printer add the refillable Ink Cartridges makes it better
2 July 2013
Summary: It is a all in one printer, i have used the mx700 for about 4 yrs with no prob. and was able to get the refillable Ink Cartridges for it. So i got the mx870 and bought it off of EBAY. I allso got refillable Ink Cartridges form EBAY. And it works great, now when i run low on ink i just fill it up and keep printing. The printer dose a great job, I would buy this printer again.
Summary: Great replacement/upgrade to my MX860 that died. They use the same cartridges so that was an easy decision being that I had several on hand. Much easier to set up as opposed to the MX860 and faster in ADF feeding during scanning.Much better overall.
Summary: I don't live in a printing heavy home. Most of the heavy lifting gets done at work, but we have always had a machine at home to print the occasional picture, word doc, or printable coloring page for the kids. That said, Canon printers have given the fewest headaches. Our latest is the MX870, which we have had for a year, a year of nearly effortless printing from both my wife's Dell (wirelessly) and my old macbook (wired).
Excerpt: We're a family who doesn't buy anything electronic before researching the heck out of it and scouring around for the best deal. We bought this one at Staples because a) they have price matching, b) they offer a $50 credit for turning in your old printer to be recycled and c) we're members of their rewards program and had credits to spend. Having a wireless printer is wonderful if you work primarily from a laptop/netbook like we do.
Excerpt: I recently purchased this printer to replace my slightly older Lexmark printer. I am so happy that I did. I checked all the reviews and comparisons on line and found that consistently this printer was a top choice. Now I see why. The printer arrived packaged nicely and had all of the neceaary cordas, manuals and disks. It was easy to set and easy to install. I opted to hook it directly to my router as needed to be able to print from multiple compters.
Summary: This is my second MX870 Canon Printer. I wanted my husband to have a printer that had wonderful features, plus same cartridges. I've had mine for a couple of years and he's had his about a month and is already sold on the ability to print good color pictures, scan, copy, and fax. And we have used all.
Summary: I bought this printer a couple of years ago. I had never owned a Canon before and certainly not an All in One. It was easy to set up and use and has worked flawlessly. It takes cheap inks without missing a beat. There is a lot to like. I love the fact that it was so easy to set up for wireless printing. (Although it would be nice if it had I enjoy the fact that the auto document feeder can scan both sides of the page.
Summary: I have had 3 similar Cannon Printer which makes this sound like it is not a good printer, but it is just the opposite. I have had 3 Cannon PIXMA printers because I keep wearing them out. I absolutely love the separate cartridges. Who wants to by a mulit-color cartridge when you only have run out of one color. I also love the fact that the Black is a larger size.
Summary: I think I've tried every printer known to man including Okidata dot matrix and the old HP Lasers. I wanted a wireless printer that could also scan and copy, supported legal size paper, had an ADF and wouldn't break the bank. This one fit the bill. Very easy to setup even in a mixed environment of Mac, XP, Win 7 and yes, even a Vista. Print quality is good and the front and rear trays make it easy to "go green" and use recycled paper.
