Summary: Bought 14 months ago, on sale, and pretty satisfied so far. Feature rich, works well without involving the PC for scanning and printing. Duplex printing way overdue on lower-priced inkjets, and very nice to have. Control panel is well-laid out, and having the scanner document feed is great.
Pros: Great price, good quality document prints, decent quality scanner images. Scans and prints without the computer. One of the best low-end MDF's we looked at.
Cons: Lousy scanner software, lousy envelope prints, big desktop footprint, print speed varies from barely adequate to painfully slow
Good home printer with many print options. Easy to use.

Summary: Replacement for an older 3in1 that stopped working. This seemed to be the best 4in1 replacement for the price and the ability to buy or refill ink economically. Easy to setup wireless. Just need your password for a secure network. Appears well made. Looks good. Only negative is the time it takes to accept the commands from the computer before it prints.
Summary: The hardware setup went smooth and easy. The software setup SEEMED the same at first. But on the second day, neither of my computers(one XP, one Win 7) could locate it. The troubleshooting software was useless since it could not find the printer either. I had to uninstall the CD software and download the updated drivers from Canon. After that, the printer worked great via wi-fi. I especially love the scanner which creates high quality scans of my old photos.
Pros: Great copying, printing, scanning, and ease-of-use
Good mid-level home printer. Its a little slow, but worth it - like barbeque

Summary: I've been using this printer for over a month now, not every day, but several times a week at several pages each time. We havent quite used up the first full paper tray(it holds about 250 sheets), and my wife(a school teacher) has printed a lot on other miscelaneous sizes of paper as well. Overall, the print quality is very good on plain paper, I havent yet done any photo printing on photo paper.
Summary: The product was purchased as a gift for my daughter. She likes the product and rates it a 4. I have not seen the product in action, but have had good results with other Canon products. Based on these past experiences, I assume this product lives up to the Canon tradition of making good, reliable products. If I was buying an all-in-one for my home I would definitely consider this product. Its price was within my budget.
Summary: sharp, clear printing. A little slow to warm up, but once it gets going it's pretty fast. Everything seems to work the way it should. It's a good buy for the money. I'm using the wireless feature and it seems to work as fast as hardwired. Software installation was a no-brainer. The only downside is the cost of replacement cartridges, but that's the way it is with any inkjet. If you are considering buying this for home use, you'll be happy with it.
