Excerpt: Canon Pixma MX870 has five ink cartridge system and I really like these layouts because they save money. Four tanks are reserved for colors and one is black for text printing. Canon says that color ink cartridge will cost $12.99 and the black inks are priced at $14.90. The company further says that black and white sheets will cost three cents and color documents will put you back by five cents. A four inch by six inch color photo will put you back by 29 cents.

Excerpt: This printer does not have a touch screen. It has two feeder trays, so you can switch between printing text and photos without having to change the paper. The times for printing, copying, scanning and faxing were average. The text printing was good and crisp. The colour blocks in our spreadsheet printout were saturated, which meant it spread a bit on normal paper. The photos were not as good as some of the other printers’.
