"JUST stopped working!"

BDJ84, CNET
11 August 2011
  • Pros: Works fine when it works. Wireless connection was great (When it worked).
  • Cons: USB connection with comp was hit or miss. As other reviews said, not ready for Windows 7. Never worked the same when I upgraded to Win 7. Had many software troubles and had to keep downloading drivers to get certain functions to work. As MB-Grafix stated.

"worst ink hog I ever owned (and inkjets are all bad)"

dmac57, CNET
20 January 2011
  • Pros: adequate for faxing and scanning
  • Cons: eats ink to the point where I got a small mono laser to do my text printing and only use the canon for faxing and scanning and the occasional color print. Stay away from this thing. No more Canon for me.

"It died a few months after the warranty ran out!"

MB-GRAFIX, CNET
5 January 2011
  • Pros: When it did work, it was an okay unit.
  • Cons: It includes a one year warranty. Approx 18 months after I bought it, it stopped working for no apparent reason. When I asked if it might be a fuse, tech support told me that they could not tell me and that I would need to take it to a service center.

"Price lures you in to get ripped off by ink prices"

t3dennis, CNET
10 December 2010
  • Pros: Easy to set up connected all of my family in minutes, small foot print, easily scan to thumb drive
  • Cons: Printing greyscale uses color cartridges too! Once an ink cartridge runs dry you cannot use the machine at all, not even to scan to thumb drive. I disposed of this machine after 6 months.

Canon Pixma Mx

zippadadooda, Ebay
24 September 2010
  • Summary: Purchased a Canon Pixma from Dealtree.com. It is a very large printer,Easy installation but slows up restart of your computer with a startup screen of canon,It doesn't have a picture photo screen and it was so large heavy and bulky it is quite a eyesore in the living room. The worst part though it has a very cheap paper loading drawer which I have to load 1 piece of paper at a time or the paper gets jammed or it might not reconize the paper in the loader at all.

"Poor Quality Control"

yeesoon, CNET
3 July 2010
  • Pros: ease of use
  • Cons: printer prone to paper jam for months, being an engineer myself, unscrew the printer to troubleshoot. Root cause is a long piece of dry grass straw (13cm) stuck deep inside the printer. Printer is made in Thailand...
