Excerpt: We were in the market for a new all-in-one printer and we purchased a cheaper HP before this one, which we were never able to get to work properly on our network. This printer was a good value (paid around $75) and the fact that it was WiFi was a big selling point. Our network is a combination of a Mac router, desktop PC, laptop Macs and PCs. We had no problems setting this printer up and getting all computers to locate the printer. It did take a few hours to get the...
Great printer, fax, copier and scanner for a great price!
9 September 2012
Excerpt: I recently received the canon pixma all in one printer as a christmas gift! we were looking for a new printer, scanner, fax and copy machine for a good price. All of the customer reviews that i read gave it very high marks. for the price, i was kind of skeptical of how good it would work. I have been pleasantly surprised! This was very easy to install.
Excerpt: I am semi-technically inclined, though not a tech-wizard, so when buying equipment I want to make sure I will be able to use it without a headache. The Pixma all-in-one was really easy to install (I'm on a Mac) and it makes it very easy to switch between all of the functions. I wish the photo printing was a slightly better quality, but for the price and the quality of all the other functions it's fine. My boyfriend bought one as well and he's pleased too.
Cons: Performs key printing functions poorly. Clear ink run on and off frequently. This and other print functions are loud. Printing is extremely slow as a result. This part is not factored into the pages per minute spec. Printing off one page can easily tak
Pros: Good print quality. Good scan quality. Good copy quality.
Cons: Printer is VERY slow. Sounds like a factory for a minute before and after printing. Sometimes difficult to get jammed paper unstuck. Canon has found a new plateau of ink cartridge annoyance. ALMOST CAN'T BUY INK FOR IT.
Summary: Comments about Canon PIXMA MX7600 Multifunction Photo Printer: I purchased this printer because my old HP never printed photos well. I now find that I rarely use that feature which the Pixma does particularly well. Functions that were so easy and intuitive with the HP are complicated on the Canon. For example, to print envelopes, you have to reset the parameters and feed through the back. It is great looking, though.
"Extremely poor paper handling and ink availability."
3 March 2010
Pros: A reliable printer with major paper handling flaws and poor pricing.
Cons: Can't print plain paper documents from the rear feed bin making this a poor choice for office use. Ink not available locally. Price far exceeds the MX850 by 50% without the ability to use the rear feed for plain paper printing.
