This copier eats ink. It is very noisy and stops frequently to recalibrate--which just uses ink. It is slow, and the photo printing quality is mediocre. Don't buy this, period. Read more

The MX7600’s inkjet printer prints up to a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi (black) or 4800 x 1200 dpi (color). Printing speed is at 28 pages per minute (black) or 23 pages per minute (color). It is equipped with Canon’s Pigment Reaction (PgR) technology that makes use of 5 individual pigment ink tanks and another one for clear ink for quality printing even on plain paper. The entire system uses 3,584 nozzles with 2 and 5-picoliter droplet sizes.
Each of the two paper trays (rear and bottom cassette) accommodates up to 150 sheets of a wide range of paper sizes. Using the two trays, the printer allows for easy double-sided printing.
The Canon PIXMA MX7600 features a Contact Image Sensor (CIS) that can scan documents up to 8.5 x 11.7 inches at a maximum optical resolution of 4800 x 9600 dpi which can be interpolated up to 19,200 x 19,200 dpi.
The machine also features an Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) that can accommodate up to 35 original sheets with a maximum size of 8.5 x 14 inches. Through the ADF, the machine can scan at a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi.
The MX7600 copies up to 28 copies per minute (black) and up to 23 copies per minute (color). It has reduction and enlargement capacities from 25% to 400%. It also has features for multiple copying (up to 99 copies), sorting, fit-to-page, 4-in-1 or 2-in-1, and auto duplex. Preset reduction and enlargement ratios are also available. == Fax Machine
The MX7600’s color fax machine has a modem speed of up to 33.6 Kbps that can transmit documents in black at 3 seconds per page and in color at 1 minute per page.

The max resolution I can get this printer to scan is dpi 1200. It is advertise as being much higher.
