Summary: I really liked this printer until I also got the dreaded B200 error a couple of days ago. We did have it for about 2 years but probably printed less than a ream of paper on it, in reality. Now I can't even use it to scan even though that function has nothing to do with the print head.
Summary: We have been using this printer for 30 months. It has held up well under near daily moderate use. Photo quality using Canon photo paper is excellent. Photos printed using the MX712 look every bit as good as the ones printed at professional shops. Text printing is also excellent.
Summary: I could not find a more compact, cheap inkjet printer that cost less than $200, so I bought this behemoth all-in-one. It takes up a lot of space on my desk, so I had to move it onto the top of a mini-file cabinet to have adequate space on my desktop for the large scanner and monitor (& speakers) I...
Summary: This repaced my HP printer which was a piece of junk. It performs well and renders sharp images and brilliant color. And unlike the HP, I don't have to troubleshoot it or constantly clean the ink nozzles. It just works. Canon is on their game.
Summary: I purchased this product in 2012 and it died 21 months later. Just plain died. As my computer savvy grandson told me, it's cheaper to buy new printers than the cartridges. Print quality was fine but any product that lasts under two years is a lemon.
Summary: Maybe I haven't upgraded my printer in a while, but printers have always been a hassle to get to just work. It seems like there's always something wrong. This one never seems to have anything wrong, and has exceeded my expectations in terms of features and flexibility. It just works.
A nice low-usage home office printer / scanner / copier.

Summary: This is not for heavy use, only for light home / home office. I say this because it is constantly running out of ink in at least one of the five ink cartridges, even under light use, whether using Canon ink or third party ink.
