Summary: Maybe I haven't upgraded my printer in a while, but printers have always been a hassle to get to just work. It seems like there's always something wrong. This one never seems to have anything wrong, and has exceeded my expectations in terms of features and flexibility. It just works. Great print quality, great scan quality, etc.
A nice low-usage home office printer / scanner / copier.

Summary: This is not for heavy use, only for light home / home office. I say this because it is constantly running out of ink in at least one of the five ink cartridges, even under light use, whether using Canon ink or third party ink. Amazon sells third party chipped ink cartridges for about $1 per cartridge which work fine with this printer, otherwise I'd need a second mortgage for ink supplies. The scanner is very nice, photos to 600 dpi or scan directly to PDF.
Summary: I am very happy with this All-In-One Printer. The print quality is great and the scanner features are very easy to use. The printer was easy to set up, including the Fax, by following the simple instructions provided with the unit. I have not used the fax but I am sure that it will work fine if I ever need it. I have used Canon printers for several years and have never been disappointed by any of the models that I have owned!
Effective, stylish, cost effective printer with a great feature set

Summary: I love the wi-fi connectivity. It had an easy setup once I got the thing unboxed and unwrapped. Print quality and speed seem good, but I haven't tried the photo printing capabilities yet. Scanning is easy, and I suspect the faxing feature would be too if I had a phone jack. Would be cool if there was some sort of cell phone interface. Good product!
Studied the market extensively.Other positive reviews sold me

Summary: Would have given 5 stars except for : Had to consult my computer pro to download the app from canon to print from my iPad.Couldnt this have been per installed by canon? Also, the printer will not transfer my photos from my camera chip installed in the printer.I guess I need an app for that to. Too early to really rate the printer, only have had it for 5 days. Had a Pixma 700 before. This certainly has more bells and whistles. I just need more time to figure them out.
