The Canon PIXMA MX700 is not only an inkjet printer, but a combination of scanner, copier, and fax machine. Even the printer has the ability to show a preview of the document to be printed before hand.
Features
The Canon PIXMA MX700 has a print color resolution of 4800 by 1200 dpi. It also features an LCD display measuring 1.8 inches for the preview of photographs to be printed. It has a print speed of 30 pages per minute for black and 20 pages per minute for color. Photographs of postcard size are printed in 46 seconds. Copies of documents can be made with the same speed. Documents can also be reduced or enlarged in size from 25% to 400%. It uses a Contact Image Sensor for the scanner element. The fax modem has a speed of 33.6 kbps, with a transmission speed of 3 seconds to a minute for black and colored faxes respectively.

The Canon Pixma MX700 color inkjet multifunction printer offers strong overall performance for a comfortably midrange price. While no single multifunction unit could satisfy everyone--I dislike certain aspects of this model's print quality and design, for instance--the still deserves credit for its balanced mix of features. We've been frustrated with inkjets dying after a year or so--the problem MAY be that we don't use them much (we normally use our b/w laser for most prints) and the ink clogs somewhere in the machine. And of course it always costs more to fix them than to replace--grrrr. I bought this Multifunction printer for its networking capacity. For advance network geeks, " it does not support TCP-IP port ". It will create its own port but you need to install it with usb cable first, than with the aid of the Software CD which comes with, you may set up your other PC's. Printing and scanning works fine I was not able to test fax option yet but I have no doubt. With this price it is a steal. Read more
