Summary: I guess in this price range printers could be treated more like a disposable lighter. I was drawn to this printer because of the ability to print from a mobile device. But I am constantly having problems with the printer being offline, every single time I try to use it. When ever I try t print, I have to physically turn the printer off than back on before I sent something to it to print. Otherwise it won't. It also seemed to gobble through ink very fast.
Except for Noise, Love this Multifunction! But too many decibles when printing or scanning.

Summary: The PIXMA blows by previous HP and Lexmark multifunctions away, decent photo printing, very good draft printing, above average but not Laser letter/final draft printing. Very good scanner, and by far the best and easiest scanner software on the market. While it could use better image software, I'm using Photoshop and bypass the included image software. For the price, the best multifuction I've tried.
Summary: Easy set up, prints from all my wireless devices without a hitch! Scans and copies as expected. I didn't really need the fax... but now that I have it, I do use it occasionally. Great value & quality!
Summary: After 4 months of basic home usage (homework, etc) this printer has a permanent paper jam message. We only used plain white printer paper in the machine and it should not have jammed at all. Now we can't clear the message and therefore can not use it. Going out to buy an HP.
Summary: I bought this printer mainly for the scan function. I doesn't. The Amazon listing says it does. The box says it does. It even has a scan button and a menu to set up scanning preferences. It simply will not scan. Of course I referred to the manual. There is nothing in the manual about scanning - zero, zip, nada. "Using the Machine (Printing/Copying/Faxing)" The word scanning is oddly missing. I would say that it's defective but the word deceptive describes it better.
Slow to print and stopped working after 1/2 a semester

Summary: Disappointing. My roommate has a cheaper printer which prints a lot faster and has lasted her 3 years. I have had a lot of difficulty trying to get the printer to read a USB (even with the manual). I gave up on that. I had to purchase a connection cord to be able to physically connect it to my laptop (I cannot use its wifi-printing on the dorm's internet).
Summary: I was so excited to get this printer after my old HP finally gave out on me. It arrived and I got it hooked up and easily connected the wireless. Went to print test page. Jammed. Retried. Jam. Tried with new sheet of paper. Jam. Again. Jam. Cancelled test page and tried with a simple word document with TEST. Jam. Again. Jam. Again with new paper. Success! Oh yeah, thought I was good. Oh no.
Conclusion: It lasted a total of four days, 3 combo ink packs later, a half a ream that it ruined continually pulling and jamming. This is the 5 replacement for the original I purchased in June. Each has had the same paper jam error, and not one has lasted beyond two weeks. Living out my warranty and never coming back.
Pros: it's shiny
Cons: drinks ink like it's water, jams right off the bat
Summary: This printer works beautifully! We get great photos as well as professional-looking docs. The scan, copy and fax ability makes this an all around machine and we were able to get rid of the other printer, fax machine, and copy machine.
