Summary: this is a very nice printer, all in one and the quality is original. the only problem i had with it is that the color ran out very quickly, other than that its a very nice product. i recommend it.
Conclusion: This is my second Canon printer and this time I really wanted an auto document feeder for scanning. I was surprised after reading the reviews..it was easy to set up..not hard to use and pretty fast. Sometimes it is the operating systems of one's computer that makes things slow to print. For the price and quality, I am very satisfied.
Pros: Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
Summary: First, to address the installation problems: if you have a secured connection, don't bother trying to go through the printer's on-board set-up. Just go straight to the installation disk and USB connection. AFTER you have installed it once it works wirelessly like a champ, but trying to set it up from the printer rather than the computer was like pulling teeth. Second, the printer tends to fall asleep while the drivers are installing.
Conclusion: We've had this printer for a couple of months and it works perfectly with my laptop, desktop (direct connect) and smart phone. It is fast, and the print quality is great. I can't imagine anyone wanting anything more.
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, High Quality Output, fast print speed
Summary: I think Canon is the best printer maker period. I hate all the printers that make it so difficult to setup the wireless and the other funtions. Most of the HP and Lexmark printers requrie you to install the software before making it wireless. This is very easy to setup and printing quality is great as always. I have been using canon printers for over 5 years and they are durable and the ink seems to last much longer than the other brands that I have tried.
Conclusion: I bought this printer because it was supposed to be able to print wirelessly. But my computer and other devices are all unable to locate it on the network. So I am forced to use the USB which is a pain because the printer is so large and bulky that it cannot fit anywhere but the floor the thus requires a lot of moving around to connect and disconnect the USB cord. I do not recommend this product.
Conclusion: The printer works just fine with USB, but if you have more than one computer on your WLAN that is the reason for a wireless printer. Well, set-up has been laborious, unreliable and just frustrating.
Pros: High Quality Output, fast print speed, great for a single computer
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, unreliable, wifi is a nightmare
Summary: Canon PIXMA MX452: The worst printer I've ever used. I stopped working through the setup because of the poor design and my absolute frustration. Poor quality flimsy parts. I'm going back to HP printers. In fact the old printer was pulled out of the trash so I can print the return label.
Conclusion: I purchased this because I had a Canon printer before and liked it. This one, although a similar but new model, does not hold a candle to any printer I have ever owned. It is only a few months old and really is only lightly used but doesn't work anymore for no reason I can figure out. I am now the proud owner of 2 Canon printers that do not work and are both relatively new. That doesn't say much for the product or the company.
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Difficult Setup, Low Quality Output, unreliable, Flimsy Construction, short life span
