Summary: Avoid this printer as I have used it only 3-4 times and did not print more than 50 pages in total and 3 months after its 1 year warranty expired it developed all sorts of faults. Now it does not pick up paper, jams when it does and if it eventually prints, it's all misaligned. Head alignment, nozzle cleaning, roller cleaning, base cleaning(yes it comes with all these maintenance utilities!) didn't help.
Summary: The Canon MX435 all in one is the best printer that I've purchased to date. Set up was easy except the Airplay function that requires a firmware upgrade to version 2 but is now fully operational. The device is connected to my network that comprises of an Apple Airport Extreme 80211 ac and first and second generation airport express devices.
Summary: Spent about 30 minutes trying to get this printer and desktop to recognise each other. Using a USB lead I kept getting a message that it had "found another printer and couldnt continue" Trying to connect WiFi it then failed to recognise my Netgear router. Sitting baffled, I noticed on the installation sheet it only referred to WinXp and Win7 - no mention of Win8 Downloaded the Win8 drivers from the Canon web site and it installed first time.
Summary: I'm getting great quality prints out of this and really like how you can dump lots of pages in the platen to scan them in all at once and you pop them back in once scanned to automatically scan the reverse for a full duplex document scanned to a PDF file. Perfect if you want save old magazines etc without spending hours at it.
