Summary: Great printer! I really like its design. The feeder is pretty slow, but alright. Its speed of printing is pretty fast in color and black and white. I don't like the scanning program. The ink is ok. I love the price, I paid $120. Set up was easy. It prints photos on photo paper is very high quality and faster than most other printers.
Summary: Considering that the next "up" model is almost twice the price - and the main features added are the increased resolution for scanning and the auto duplex printing - but at the cost having to manage more number of cartridges, this model provides a compelling value. The biggest issue seems to be the tad slowness of the printer over Wi-Fi (could be attributed to the network itself, perhaps) - especially when you set a duplex print with multiple pages on a sheet.
Summary: I needed a printer to replace my HP 5440 which was outdated for my new desktop pc which uses Windows 7. Since I was in the market for a new printer I decided to opt for an all-in-one model(scanner, fax, copy, print). I have had the Canon Pixma MX420 for approximately a month now and have used all facets of the machine. It is such a time saver to have the ability to use all of these functions from home rather than running out to fax or copy items.... love it!
Summary: I`ve had this printer for a few months now. It`s a great printer, but there are both pros (many) and some cons (a few). Pros: very easy wireless setup, easier than the HP printer that I also have. Scanning has been excellent and the files sent to my laptop wireless no problem. Really good quality printing and scanning. My experience is that Canon printers and small digital cameras have the best print/photo quality.
Summary: I had a Dell printer, 3 of them before I finally decided it was time to try something else. I needed a fax, so this model, themx420 was the one I went with. When it was delivered I was very surprised on how big and heavy the box was it came shipped in. At first I thought there was a mistake! But nope the printer was inside this huge box. Anyhow I have a few pros I would like to share. 1. Easy to unpack 2. Easy to set up with wireless network 3.
Summary: Great product and clean printing. I have not tried printing any photos yet so I cannot give my opinion for that as far as document printing, images come out clear and crisp. The only thing I do no like about this printer is that when it starts to warm up for printing it sounds very clunky and loud.
Summary: I bought this printer as a backup for my older Canon MP610 I paid $69 a special price from Buy.com thru Ebay. The only disapointments are the cost of ink. It's not quiet printing & as fast as my MP610, but I'm not complaining the price makes up for it. It a fun printer and I like it even with it's short comings. Between work & home I used Brother,Canon,HP & Lexmark. I find that Canon printers are the best printers.
