Summary: Considering that the next "up" model is almost twice the price - and the main features added are the increased resolution for scanning and the auto duplex printing - but at the cost having to manage more number of cartridges, this model provides a compelling value.
Summary: I needed a printer to replace my HP 5440 which was outdated for my new desktop pc which uses Windows 7. Since I was in the market for a new printer I decided to opt for an all-in-one model(scanner, fax, copy, print).
Summary: I`ve had this printer for a few months now. It`s a great printer, but there are both pros (many) and some cons (a few). Pros: very easy wireless setup, easier than the HP printer that I also have. Scanning has been excellent and the files sent to my laptop wireless no problem.
Summary: I had a Dell printer, 3 of them before I finally decided it was time to try something else. I needed a fax, so this model, themx420 was the one I went with. When it was delivered I was very surprised on how big and heavy the box was it came shipped in. At first I thought there was a mistake!
Summary: Great product and clean printing. I have not tried printing any photos yet so I cannot give my opinion for that as far as document printing, images come out clear and crisp. The only thing I do no like about this printer is that when it starts to warm up for printing it sounds very clunky and loud.
Summary: Have only had this a couple weeks, but great so far. Set up was easy, took a few extra minutes as I was putting it on out wired network (had to go into menus on printers screen). It does have a large footprint on the desk, print is crisp and fast, faxing is very easy.
Summary: This is an good inexpensive inkjet all-in-one printer that more than meets all my needs. I wanted a combination of scanner and printer that I can network with the computers at home, and this one was the answer. Set-up is easy and self explanatory.
Summary: I researched this printer against higher priced HP printers at Costco. This printer had better ratings so I bought it. The first thing I noticed was the installation compared to my old wireless HP 6980 (which it replaced) was awesome.
Summary: Here's how to get bluetooth in a position to work. First, realize that the paper Getting Started guide has nothing useful to say about this. You must install the Canon software on your PC and read the on-line manual.
