Canon MX310 fits my request for light copying. Quick .
23 April 2009
Summary: Only copied items, at this time. Warm up time is something I'm not accustomed but, okay. Truly like the way it does not cycle while not in use. Wanted something that you can use with refills or non-brand cartridge. Lexmark x5470 destroyed, after one use of non-Lex cartridge; was only 2 years old and used only for copes with maybe only 100 copies made. Message did warn of permanent damage.
Overall a good 'all in one' which I would reccommend to most people for everyday use.

Excerpt: I bought this unit after my old HP all in one packed up. As a teacher I was looking for something that had AFD (multiple page) scanning to try and minimise the paperwork cluttering at home by scanning and saving it digitally. The scanning, for me, is the highlight of the machine. The software is easy to use and allows you to save image in a variety of formats such as pdf and jpeg.
Summary: Easily set up, although the fax set up was a bit fiddly. Performance is good with good speed/print quality balance. Build qulaity is good and the auotmatic document feeder for copying is as good as having a peronal "xerox" machine. In all good value for money.

Excerpt: For a mere £60 (Tesco Direct) this is a real bargain. You get a printer, compier, scanner and fax machine all rolled into one. Its incredibly easy to use and to the point of being idiot proof. Want to send a fax? Insert your document, press the fax button, dial in the number just like you would a phone and hey presto fax sent.
