Summary: This product works well. I has lasted me for years which is more that any other printer that I have owned. The ink is a bit pricey, but all ink is pricey. The ink is easy to find. I buy mine at Sam's Club. The only drawback that I can see is that it has a fairly large footprint. It takes up a lot of space on your desk. Otherwise it is a perfect printer for the home office.
Summary: I got the Canon MX300 about 6 months ago, and used it for only about a month before packing it up and having to move. At the time, it printed great, although setup was a little bit of a hassle with the cords included not quite being long enough, and the software is bloated, but not as much as say Lexmark. Once setup, it worked like a dream, scanning, faxing and printing with ease. Even on normal quality, the prints are excellent and very true to life.
Summary: I received this printer for free when I purchased my Mac early in 2008. All in all, works exactly as one would expect with both my 1) Mac and 2) PC with XP, then Windows 7. Easy set up and no problems printing. Issues to keep in mind: 1) Not networkable . I have to separately plug into any computer I want to use it with. 2) As with any inkjet printer, the ink will smear or run if you get it wet, even from sweat on a finger, where ink from a laser printer wont.
Summary: This printer is a good value for $69.95. I have had it 3 months and have had no problems. I sent and received some faxes and it worked fine. I have read the fax machine has trouble when you have the printer on and your phone rings. I have had no problem with that. I do not leave the printer on a whole lot . May be thats why I did not have that problem some people complained about. The printer makes good color copies. It does a good job of scanning also.
Summary: This is a very good printer for the price. I love it's versatility and ease of use. It is very fast as well. The print quality is a 3.5 out of 5 so it's a good household item. The downside is the lines you get when you try to print a picture (mostly in the dark areas) I have not tried to print on photo paper yet, but I imagine I will still see the lines. This is a good buy!
Summary: I am using this printer in my small office. Unlike some other reviewers, I found the setup to be simple (less than 15 minutes, most of which was software download). It prints much more quickly that the older Lexmark all in one I was using but you can get around this by choosing the fast print option. The only down side I have found is that I am replacing ink every 15 days or so but then again it is printing at least 30 pages per day.
Summary: I recieved the machine yesterday 1/14/09 in great shape. Unpacked it and started to hook it up. The setup was a breeze. I think it might had taken me around 10-15 minutes to unpack, setup and print a test page with it. It's a fast printer also. If I had to do it all over again I would buy another one just like it. Absolutely no problems what so ever. R.
Summary: I had my brother, who's a computer whiz, help me install it over the phone, and it's made my life so much better! So far I've only used the Print function, which is why I only gave it four stars, but I'm sure I'll love the Scan/Copy/Fax when I need them. It's been a dream!
Summary: The unit is large, but that was understood before I purchased it. Paper trays do not handle much. The unit does not weigh much at all. However, the quality and speed for a light duty machine are very good. Print detail using my MAC is excellent. For a student, your parents, or as a backup for the home office, this unit is perfect.
Summary: I use my MX300 for printing, scanning, and faxing. I haven't used it for photos and do not plan to use it for that. The MX300 was super easy to install. It works great - only issue is that the cartridges are expensive and the MX300 uses the ink fast. I have owned the computer about 4 months and have just had to install the 3rd set of cartridges.
