Summary: If you own a Mac DO NOT BUY THIS printer... Canon user manual lies, it say it is compatible with Mac..but it is not.. only printer works the other functions do not work... When I consulted to Canon ,they have admitted that it other functions do not work..
Summary: **ONLY GREAT AT THE BEGINNING** I have this printer for 2 yrs now and probably only used it a two months or so. The cartridges are very expensive for such a cheap printer. It uses inks MAD!! Such a bad buy! BUYERS BEWARE!! Plus it does not take after market catridges. Even when you buy refilled ones it does not detect it properly. The catridge tray leaks even with the genuine catridge use.
Summary: This printer is CRAP! The canon pixma won't print pdf files. I've tried various workarounds, rebooted the printer, reinstalled the software. customer support was useless. I'm sending it back. No more canon printers for me! It doesn't deserve any stars but amazon won't post this review unless at least one star is selected.
Summary: When I purchased this quite a few years ago, I was excited because of the rave reviews it was getting then. My excitement quickly turned to disappointment as I began to use my new Canon Pixma. Fortunately, I purchased this for use as a Fax machine and I have always had another printer. One of the problems with this unit is that the print quality is certainly less than great.
Summary: I bought this printer in Israel almost three years ago. Since then it has broken down three times. The ink is also astronomically expensive and you can't use recycled cartridges in this printer. Spend a little more and buy a decent printer.
Summary: I bought this product (not from Amazon) in fall of 2008. Within a few months, paper kept jamming and it would not print. I tried all the troubleshooting tips (roller cleaning, etc.) and nothing helped. I called Canon and they authorized repair. When I got the repaired printer home, it was actually a replacement printer. That didn't work at all, same problem. I brought it in again and they either repaired or replaced it (I don't remember which).
RUN away! having to replace it a second time through warnty!

Summary: The printer has problems feeding and saying there are paper jams and I have had it replaced once already and am having to have a SECOND replacement sent to me. What a pain. I researched online and this is a common problem.
Summary: The printer has had problems since I bought it. After 2 months it no longer prints it keeps pulling the paper to the side or not pull the paper through at all while it still seems like it's printing and wasting ink. Do not waste your money. I called Canon and they said I could send it in because it seems when the printer is moved from one location to another the paper rollers can get off track causing the paper to pull side ways.
Summary: Brand new out of the box and it malfunctions. Called Canon for tech support they said there was nothing they can do and that the warranty only provides me with a refurbished replacement. So for the same amount I paid for a brand new one, I get a used one. Don't want to hassle with anything else so that is what I'm gonna do but I am not completely satisfied.
Summary: Printer and copier worked great. Fax would disconnect line during voice phone calls. The first repair tech told me this was a known problem. After 4 calls to canon , I was told to leave the machine OFF so it would not disconnect the line during voice calls! What a wonderful fix for the problem! Gave up and sent it back.
