Summary: **ONLY GREAT AT THE BEGINNING** I have this printer for 2 yrs now and probably only used it a two months or so. The cartridges are very expensive for such a cheap printer. It uses inks MAD!! Such a bad buy! BUYERS BEWARE!! Plus it does not take after market catridges. Even when you buy refilled ones it does not detect it properly. The catridge tray leaks even with the genuine catridge use.
Summary: Purchased this for 50 bucks at a midnight Walmart sale in 2009. Works great for my needs. Print maybe 20 sheets a week, fax now and then, scan to computer when needed. Does what I want, when I want. No complaints.
Summary: I ordered refilled cartridges from 123 Ink. I bought from them in the past and had no trouble using refilled cartridges with my Pixma MX300. Their services are excellent. This time the cartridges do not fit the printer. I have tried twice and a friend also tried, with no success. The cartridges are NCRCL41 C.M.Y. for colour and NC-RPG40 BK for black. This printer version was followed I believe by one with a moveable tray for the cartridges to fit into.
Summary: This printer is CRAP! The canon pixma won't print pdf files. I've tried various workarounds, rebooted the printer, reinstalled the software. customer support was useless. I'm sending it back. No more canon printers for me! It doesn't deserve any stars but amazon won't post this review unless at least one star is selected.
Summary: This product works well. I has lasted me for years which is more that any other printer that I have owned. The ink is a bit pricey, but all ink is pricey. The ink is easy to find. I buy mine at Sam's Club. The only drawback that I can see is that it has a fairly large footprint. It takes up a lot of space on your desk. Otherwise it is a perfect printer for the home office.
Excerpt: I received this cannon pixma mx300 as a gift when my other printer died on me. As a girl scout leader, nursery teacher, sunday school teacher, mom of three, student, and homemaker, I print ALOT of stuff. and I needed something that could keep up with my demands with little upkeep. The installation is fast, the setup is easy and it's just pretty much idiot-proof.

Excerpt: My old All-In-One printer was starting to wear down so I went shopping for a replacement. I needed one immediately and the Canon MX300 series all-in-one was a great value. The replacement ink cartridges seemed inexpensive (and I print quite a few documents on a daily basis) so I decided to give this printer a try! It was extremely easy to set up, the fax and scanner functions are easy to use and it is compact enough to easily fit in my home office area.
Excerpt: I have had this printer close to a year and love it. I bought it to finally have a copier at home along with a printer that didn't have paper feeding issues. This printer has been very reliable. It prints, copies, scans, and also faxes. I have not needed the fax, but everything else works great. Clean easy scanning. Print quality is excellent for a home printer, especially at this price. I've never had the paper jam or other mechanical issues.

Excerpt: I love this printer! I originally bought it for around $50 from Walmart and it has been such a great printer. I've had it for about a year and a half now. I print a lot of coupons and I love that I can turn off the color and only print black and white. It has software that came with it and it's so easy to use and customize to how you want it.
