Summary: The Canon MP990 is quite a machine. Print quality is fantastic. Print speed is stellar. My only issues thus far are: Don't try and print with the paper in the rear feed. The machine doesn't know how to recognize paper unless it's in the cassette under the tray. Also, it requires 5 ink cartridges which I'm sure will add up quickly. But it is a pretty machine with lots of bells and whistles.
Pros: Easy Setup, Fast Operation, Great Print Quality
Summary: I use the printer for printing pictures as well as small creative projects. The printer has a great print quality, and is easy to use. The software that comes with the printer is extremely slow to load and to make choices. But once it loads up, the printer is pretty fast.
Pros: Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Great Print Quality
Summary: So far, so good. A bit slow in warming up, though, and I'd like to find out how to set it up so that it will turn on automatically when I ask to print something (if that's possible). Seems like a good quality printer, all in all, at this point.
Pros: Easy Setup, Easy To Use, Great Print Quality, Reliable
Summary: It has fast printing speed and high quality prints. Plus you can scan film strip from a camera and produce your own photos, for those who likes privacy about their photos than you can produce them at home. I love this feature. The bad things about this printer is that it uses more ink than the MP640.
Summary: Scanning negatives was the attraction to this model, but the design is for 35mm. Have cheated to other film sizes but limited by software to import partial frames. Print quality and software are strong.
