Summary: If you are looking for one device to join the family PC to handle just about any print or photo task you might have, the $149 Canon Pixma MP620 gives you an excellent combination of performance, quality, and features. It's not perfect, but it comes closer than many other similarly priced competitors.
Pros: Fast printing and scanning, Very good document and photo quality, Holds both plain and photo paper at once, Separate ink tanks
Cons: Complex front-panel controls, No ADF for scanner/copier, Can't print directly from USB drive
Conclusion: I still believe the Canon Pixma MP620 all-in-one inkjet printer is a nice looking, reasonably priced machine. But now I can add to my initial assessment that the MP620 prints high quality copies and photos, scans quickly and is simple to use. It gives a user much to work with and the only things missing in my opinion are fax functionality and some much needed instruction on network configuration.
Conclusion: The build quality, features and output of the Canon are very good. It provides great scans and prints materials to a high standard. For the price, there's very little to grumble about. The wireless connectivity, digital camera memory card reader, and ease of use add to the value of the package too. For humble all-in-one the Canon MP620 is a great device with lots of features it's well worth the money.
Pros: Compact, plenty of connectivity options, card reader built-in, two paper trays
