Features
The Canon PIXMA MP600 All-in-One Printer has an LCD color display panel that measures 2.5 inches wide. It uses 5 cartridges for its printing to produce a resolution that reaches 9600 by 4800 color dpi. It can print 30 pages per minute for black and white, and up to 24 pages per minute for color printing. Copying is basically with the same specifications as of the print speed. It uses a hardware platform of Mac and PC. It uses a wired form of connectivity using USB. It has 3584 nozzles on all of its cartridges. It can print on credit card sized documents to legal sized papers. The scanner uses a Contact Image Sensor for its scanning. It is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Me, and Mac OSX.

The Canon Pixma MP600 is a solid multipurpose device that combines a printer, scanner, and media card reader at a reasonable price of $200 (as of 10/25/06). It lacks a built-in fax, making it problematic for office use, and serious photographers will bemoan the fact that it doesn't scan film; however, the MP600 makes up for these missing features with good paper handling and fast, high-quality printing.
