Summary: initially, I though the product came without a power cord and also the USB cord, I was wrong and found both of them tucked inside with the printer ink. The USB cord was a y cord and I plugged them both in. Set up was easy and automatic. I have an HP 8.1 computer and there was no problem in set up which was for Vista. If you do not have a internal rom drive, an external drive is needed to use the set up disk. Print went well immediately.
Summary: The printer is good for what I need but it has a couple small issues. The display screen will not open all the way. Additionally, the paper feed is intermittent and registers "no paper" when there is actually paper. All and all for the price, it will suit my needs fine. I have experience with Canon printers so I can trouble shoot these issues when they arise.
Summary: This printer was easy to install and works great. It has a very nice set of options and it is extremely easy to use. The printer was delivered in the time frame provided. Overall, I am very satisfied with my new printer. The only minor drawback is the size...a little bit bigger than I expected.
Canon quality/reliability: functions well and quickly; is easy to use.

Summary: I bought this to replace a different unit that got broken. I have faith in the Canon brand name. There does not seem to be anything to dislike; it makes quality copies and prints quickly. Scanner also functions well. I expect this will be more durable than the previous unit of another brand.
Summary: BY FAR THE BEST PRINTER I HAVE EVER OWNED. SO SIMPLE TO SET UP AND THE PICTURES ARE WONDERFUL WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRINTER. YOU CAN USE FLASH DRIVES , ALL SIZE MEMORY CARDS AND YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TURN ON YOUR COMPUTER WITH THESE. LOVE THE LCD SCREEN.
Summary: I owned the canon mp240 and it broke but I had a ton of ink left so I decided to get the 480. I've only used it a handful of times but it works great. I thought for the price, you can't beat it.
Summary: Does a good job with photos and works with a CISS. Allowing me to cut down on buying new cratrages. I put this printer through a lot, so it gets a workout printing in excess of 75 photos per week. I would recomend this to other photographers looking for a good printer for photos. You do need to use a quality photo paper with this printer, some of the cheep papers seem to clog up the print heads. I use the Fugi Film barnd and it does a very clear high quality Photo.
Too Bad it Doesn't Print Money Cuz' You're Gonna Need It

Summary: The printer itself is decent. It's relatively attractive and easy to use. The quality of copies and photos is fine. It's noisier and slower than I'd prefer, but I can live with that. What I can't live with is a printer that goes through ink so fast that I surpassed the cost of the printer after the third ink refill, and I buy the XL size refills! I find myself being extremely judicious about printing anything to try and conserve the short life of these cartridges.
