Excerpt: In the past decade or so, the all in one printer category has exploded. So much so that there aren't many printers that just print now a days. The MP460 is a mid range all in one that does a decent job all around. Scan quality is very good, as is print quality for regular black and white and color documents. Photos look a little washed out, even when they look just fine on your monitor. Also, the printer takes a while to get ready for a print after being off.
Excerpt: I got this printer with my Mac computer a couple of years a go with a rebate. So i basically only paid tax for it and the price that was over $100 (I forgot how much it cost). This printer works really well but it really loud. It also takes a lot of time printing a page too. I hate the scanner though, I have to keep pressing scan sometimes between (2-10) times until it scans a page. I dont know if there is something wrong with it or i might be using it wrong.
Happy and going on almost three years of printing with the MP460

Excerpt: The Canon MP460 came almost free when I bought my iMac about 2 years ago—Apple was offering an $100 printer rebate and this model cost $110. Since then, I've printed almost continually on it and it's been a reliable machine. Recently I've been experiencing some software issues with it and have had to reinstall the drivers, but I think that's not a printer problem---more like a computer problem.
Excerpt: I bought the Canon MP460 printer perhaps 3-5 years ago and I'm GLAD i did!! I can scan things i draw and put it on the computer, I can copy stuff. Theres a virtual menu so i dont need to randomly click buttons and guess what I am doing. There are no limits to what you can do with this. The color is great even though the ink is pretty expensive it's well worth it.
Cannon MP460 is clunky to set up & use and SLOOOOOW

Excerpt: I aquired the Cannon MP460 when I purchased my IMAC because they had a special price plus a rebate offer. I have been extremely disapponted with this device given Cannon's lofty reputation. It is my 1st non-HP printing device ever & I'm sorry I decided to change brands; won't be going back to a Cannon next time. It is clunky to set up and use with confusing or nonexistant "help" on both the device and documentation.
Summary: Needed low budget but capable unit for daughter, this one fit the bill perfectly. Easy set up and all the features she needed. Have been using Canon and Lexmarks for several years now after abandoning the HP product line as their quality sank and the software became bloated enough to bring older machines to a crawl.
Summary: If you are looking to purchase a good quality all in one printer, then all I have to say is look no further than the Canon MP460SE. It is an all around high quality product with no major flaws which were found in the previous model MP460.
The print quality is A+, scanning quaity is B- and it is a great looking design.
I've owned several ALL IN ONE printers mostly from Lexmark and this blows all of those out of the water. Choose this printer and you won't regret it.
