Excerpt: my aunt gave me this printer for christmas like two years ago and i have been using it for the longest time and it still works fine. i like how it's all in one so i don't have to buy a seperate scanner or copier machine. the ink prints clearly although sometimes you have to run to cleaning tests and performace check. however, the one thing i hate about it is that the ink is so damn expensive! i mean come on, like $50 for ink!
Terrific little printer/scanner and great price - recommended!

Excerpt: I have been very pleased with this little printer/scanner. I had been wanting a scanner for some time, and the scanner on this little machine works very well. The print quality is also very good. I have not tried the copying function so far but I imagine it is equally reliable. This machine is compactly sized, easy to use and costs very little. I have only been using it a couple of weeks, but so far, I couldn't be more pleased! I definitely recommend it.
a scanner with plus for a computer challenged person

Excerpt: I brought my canon pixma scanner which also includes a printer for plain printing and for photos. I'm still learning about all its capabilities. For a somewhat computer-challenged person, I've learned how to use the scanner to scan such things as plain copies and handmade greeting cards which I keep in an idea file as I create them. I also use the scanner to create/print messages for handmade cards on plain and colored card stock.
Excerpt: I purchased my computer over 3 years ago and bundled with it was a Canon Pixma copier/scanner/printer MP160. I make handmade cards and comes in handy for some of these purposes. My Canon scans items easily, prints very well and makes great copies. It does so much and I'm still learning about how to use it. This alone made my computer purchase so worth it! It works well with Windows Vista program.
The Canon PIXMA MP160 is a good printer for small home projects

Excerpt: The Canon PIXMA 160 Inkjet Printer is a good printer for small home printing projects. It's good for school homework papers and small craft projects, such as greeting cards. It's makes good quality photocopies and can scan documents into your computer as a .pdf file. This printer produces good quality color documents. The ink does not run or smudge. You can use multi-purpose paper versatile for printers and copies for your documents.
Excerpt: I love this printer, I feel like once it was set up it prints really fast, and I never feel like this printer takes a long time to print anything. I love the fact that you can also use it as a scanner and a copier. And I thought it was pretty easy to install all of the features. The only thing that isn't as desirable is that the ink is harder to find- and I like to get my ink cartridges refilled to save money but there aren't really places that refill canon cartridges...
Excerpt: I got the Canon Pixma MP 160 All in One Printer three years ago as part of a bundle -- and it was actually free. Whatever the original purchase price, it would have been completely worth it. The printer is well-designed and easy to use. It is compact, and so a space-saver. It has a sort pf retro look to it, which works well with my 1950s desk. The flap in the back that supports the in-going paper is squat enough to keep out of the way.
Summary: The printer is extremely easy to use, & the print is very good. I have not yet used it to print photos. My only complaint is that when scanning to send an email it cannot send directly from my Earthlink Total Access email program. It does, however, send directly from an Outlook Express email program. This only makes the process of scanning to email a bit more difficult.
Excerpt: Brought this model in March 2007 as a replacement for an Epson 80+ printer which I'd never really been happy with. Main purpose was for home office use (printing text and graphics, scanning and some photocopying). The unit is a 'slab' shaped mix of Grey and black plastic and should fit easily into most home setups bearing in mind that if you plan to scan and copy you need space above it to open the lid!
