Promise of quality and performance fulfilled. Nice product, Canon.

Summary: I got an MP series (150) free at Fryes when I bought an HP Desktop computer back in 2005. The computer is long gone, but the printer sits on my desk today, it works hard every day and continues to perform as new. An impressive little piece of engineering. To say that it has lived up to the promise of Canon quality would be an understatement. Easy to refill with aftermarket ink and cartridges, just maintain it properly and it will probably outlive your computer.
printer has scanning problem, poor color pictures.

Summary: I bought this printer to replace an older mp 160 that was having some problems. the reason to reorder the same printer was I was satified with the older one, New printer color pictures are ok but not the as good as old printer. the main problem with new printer is the scanner, when you scan in item and attach it an email, the scaned document is unreadable, but if you copy the document, it is useable?
Summary: When I first bought this printer several years ago, I did so only after much research. My goal was to find the best easy-to-use multi-function printer at the best price. I also wanted it to fit my desk's printer slide-out. The Canon Pixma fit all my requirements. I used it daily for my work with four non-profits and for personal use. It's been there to help me create programs and spread-sheets and print the occasional photo.
Summary: this was purchased to replace a printer that quit working after being used for over three years. we were very pleased to find the exact same printer (new) for a little more than what the ink would cost.
Excerpt: I don’t like to listen to salespeople when I go shopping; I really don’t. There’s always this little voice in my head saying “well of course this product is great to them. They make money the more they sell”.
Summary: The printer is extremely easy to use, & the print is very good. I have not yet used it to print photos. My only complaint is that when scanning to send an email it cannot send directly from my Earthlink Total Access email program. It does, however, send directly from an Outlook Express email program. This only makes the process of scanning to email a bit more difficult.
Summary: I had an MP150 for a couple of years and it jammed on me recently, so I purchased the MP160 and it works great. I just use it for everyday printing and scanning to do business from home and keep up with family; it works just fine.
