Canon Pixma MG8250

DonGiovanni, CNET
10 May 2012
  • Summary: I'd like this printer. But it is a big problem to find. I heard that there is a problem with deliveries of the PIXMA MG8250, due to floods in Thailand in October 2011. Do you have anyone have any more information when supplies will be restored?

A rubbish product

llanvair, Amazon
15 January 2015
  • Summary: This scanner printer has been used very little. After only 18 months the scanner stopped working and had to be returned to Canon, who said it would cost 160 pounds to repair. After complaining to Canon they offered 24 pounds off the cost of repair.

  • Summary: We bought this for my Father in laws birthday present, we were after an all in one printer with slide and negative scanner that had separate colour ink cartridges and allowed printing from his iPad.

Print quality is great but.

Mr. Warren Gill, Amazon
31 May 2014
  • Summary: This is a heavy machine, it provides excellent quality scans and really great quality documents & pictures too, however the main problem with machine is its speed and its thirst and occasional wireless printing glitch.

  • Summary: Very good printer but ink tanks are small and it seems to race through ink. Does everything well but just watch that ink disappear!

  • Summary: But uses a lot of ink. Scan function works well but occasionally temperamental about wireless connection which is a nuisance when it is 2 floors away from the PC

Excellent printer/scanner

R. J. Cowley "bluearcher", Amazon
12 May 2013
  • Summary: Got this as needed a second printer/scanner and already had the excellent MG6250. This offered even better scanning and copying negatives/slides. Top quality scanning and photo prints although ink isn't cheap.

Great at scanning photos

Amazon Customer, Amazon
8 April 2013
  • Summary: I've had a few PIXMA printers before, and all have been good, but I bought this one because of its separate scanning unit for 35mm slides and megatives. For the same price as a good quality slide scanner, this provides both an excellent scanner and an excellent printer as well.

Very happy

slim, Canon
20 March 2013
  • Conclusion: Overall very happy, the size was a bit daunting at first but cannon have managed to pack a lot of good features into the printer, my favourite would be printing a screen shot or photo from my mobile phone from anywhere in the house or back yard.
  • Pros: Reliable, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, Fast Print Speed, Easy to use
  • Cons: Large Footprint, Heavy/Bulky, High Ink Consumption

Extremely Good Printer/Scanner

Pat B, Amazon
15 March 2013
  • Summary: My previous separate Canon scanner and printer were both 9 years old and had seen a lot of hard use with two different computers and operating systems. Based on this good experience I replaced with an all in one Canon scanner/printer. I have had it for 2 months now and it is performing brilliantly.
