  • Conclusion: Had for approximately 18 months(warranty over),for minimal home use. Power stopped and tried everything. Canon rep was very nice but said there was nothing they could do. Stuck with a lot of unused ink that I can't find a compatible printer for.
  • Pros: easy to use
  • Cons: Slow Print Speed, Heavy/Bulky, High Ink Consumption, unreliable

1st Canon

mirolex, Canon

  • Conclusion: I have had 2 other brands of 3-in-1 copiers that I prefer to this particular Canon. They were much easier to operate right out of the box. I found this one to be more complicated than I'd anticipated.
  • Pros: fast print speed
  • Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, High Ink Consumption

Dead within a year

Jaxxy, Canon
8 November 2013
  • Conclusion: When it was working it was OK for the price. But just as I replaced a cartridge it died. No amount of "turn the printer off, unplug it from the power source, reconnect the plug and turn the printer back on" was helpful.

OK for the money

GPS, Canon
4 October 2013
  • Conclusion: Bought this for my third home desktop computer. Several years ago I got a Canon LIDE scanner-only machine, which I love and am still using. I will be sad when it finally wears out.
  • Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use
  • Cons: Slow Print Speed, Large Footprint, Flimsy Construction, long warmup cycles, no black & white color mode for scanning

  • Conclusion: High ink consumption!! Its higher than high & gets very expensive.Have switched to an off brand occasionally. The savings will allow me to purchase another printer quickly.Photos can consume the whole tank! Be careful with ink usage.
  • Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use

Ok for the price

hdvidguy, Canon
29 March 2013
  • Conclusion: I purchased this on sale to print DVD's but also use the wireless scan capability. You cannot print to DVD using the WIFI connection, it must be wired to the computer. The printer also has a quirk where you must close the DVD print slot, then open it again to insert the tray.
  • Pros: Lightweight/Portable
  • Cons: Difficult to use

averag quality

zing, Canon
25 February 2013
  • Conclusion: I bought this unit expecting the same quality from Canon that I had with my previous printer. While the setup was easy and full size pages looked good, I was really disappointed when printing envelopes. The addresses almost always come out smugged.
  • Pros: Easy Setup, easy to use
  • Cons: unreliable, High Ink Consumption, smugged printing

Great print quality, but you wait a LONG time for first page, and seems to use ink for warm-up routine

Susan1620, Amazon
28 December 2012
  • Summary: I am a huge fan of Canon and have been using the printers for years. I recently purchased the PIXMA MG5320. It prints wonderful and clear pictures; however, if you haven't printed for a day or two, it takes several minutes to warm up and test everything and it seems to use ink in the process each...
