Summary: I really liked this printer when I got it. I had it for 18 months and it died this week I called Canon and they said that it needs a new part that will cost $80-$100. I do not do a significant amount of printing and this should not have a happened so soon.
Conclusion: All features of this product were working good and then one day when I tried to scan a photo it would not scan to my computer. I have reinstalled the software, updated the driver, reinstalled the software again but the scanner still does not work. Everything else works fine.
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Sharp Tones & Colors, fast print speed, easy to use
Summary: I had one of these. Easy to set up. Software works great and isn't buggy. Print quality is great. I loved the way it operated. That is until the print head went out. Canons are great printers-but this one died about a week(yes, a week) after the warranty expired.
Conclusion: I have had this printer for just over a year and it just stopped working. Solid orange warning light. Power issue. It was easy to set up and the wireless worked throughout the house but the build quality is less than what I expected from Canon.
Conclusion: We loved how easy it was to set up for multiple printers (one on USB and the others wireless). We use this to print from Windows, Mac, Linux, and iOS devices. The copy function is great and it is hard to tell the copy from the original.
Pros: fast print speed, easy to use, nice features
Conclusion: So far as I can tell, this printer has wifi connectivity simply as a novelty. If you expect to print using anything but a USB cable, don't buy. It mysteriously falls off the network every few days leaving you to twiddle the silly dial to once again, re-enter your passphrase.
Conclusion: I normally love Canon products, but this is the worst printer ever. It does not stay connected to the wireless connection for longer than one print job. I have yet found a way to easily solve the problem and resort to having to download the driver over and over again. Do not buy this model.
Summary: I've had to replace my brand new MG5320 .... the printer heads tend to go out early on these models.... can not be repaired...must buy a new one.....AND NOW THEY ARE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. Re-evaluating Canon as a printer.
Conclusion: I was SOOOO pleased at first. It did photos in B plus or better quality - not bad for a home printer. It did printable CD's very nicely. And it broke down after a few months. This seems to be a common problem. The ink carriage just WON'T MOVE, and no amount of turning off power supply, etc.
Cons: High Ink Consumption, unreliable, Flimsy Construction
