Conclusion: So far as I can tell, this printer has wifi connectivity simply as a novelty. If you expect to print using anything but a USB cable, don't buy. It mysteriously falls off the network every few days leaving you to twiddle the silly dial to once again, re-enter your passphrase. Then turn everything on and off a few times and re-install all the drivers in your computers for good measure. Then it may start working for another 2 or 3 days. As a printer, it's not bad.
Conclusion: I normally love Canon products, but this is the worst printer ever. It does not stay connected to the wireless connection for longer than one print job. I have yet found a way to easily solve the problem and resort to having to download the driver over and over again. Do not buy this model.
Summary: I've had to replace my brand new MG5320 .... the printer heads tend to go out early on these models.... can not be repaired...must buy a new one.....AND NOW THEY ARE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE. Re-evaluating Canon as a printer.
Conclusion: I was SOOOO pleased at first. It did photos in B plus or better quality - not bad for a home printer. It did printable CD's very nicely. And it broke down after a few months. This seems to be a common problem. The ink carriage just WON'T MOVE, and no amount of turning off power supply, etc., turning upside down, gentle shaking, looking for scraps of paper inside (there aren't any) can undo the jammed mechanism. Apparently this happens often with this printer. Often.
Cons: High Ink Consumption, unreliable, Flimsy Construction
Conclusion: This printer replaced an older Canon multi-function and I couldn't wait to use it. However, I have been very disappointed in it. The print quality on photos is not the stunning "lab-type" I expected, even though I've used several types of photo paper. The ink consumption is enormous. The printer takes an aggravatingly long time to warm up. And the rear document feeder can only be used when printing photos.
Pros: Compact Design, Lightweight/Portable
Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption, rear tray unavailable for documents
Conclusion: I bought the MG5320 based upon great reviews .. big mistake. I have never had so much trouble in setting up and using a computer (have had 4 previously). I have spent/wasted hours trying to get it to operate satisfactorily .. there are no written instructions .. just online stuff that never seems to fit my problem. All I want to do is print some stuff .. and can't even find a print setting for documents.
