Good printer-hard to set up

Kat, Canon
9 October 2014
  • Conclusion: I like my new Canaon printer, but cannot get it to work as a :wireless: printer, which is what I want. I'll keep trying.

Does the Job Adequately

Holls, Canon
3 September 2014
  • Conclusion: I've owned this printer for one year now. I'm happy with my purchase. It prints and scans documents well enough. My only qualms is the device is much slower than my previous all-in-one, especially when it comes to scanning. Other reviewers mention problems with the wireless function.
  • Pros: Compact Design, durable, Lightweight/Portable, price/value, print quality
  • Cons: Difficult to use, Slow Print Speed, slow scan speed

Cannot Turn on Grayscale Printing

Rondo, Canon
17 April 2014
  • Conclusion: Overall I am pleased with the unit: easy wifi setup (Mac); good print quality, average ink usage. However, the utility does not permit grayscale printing (not talking scanning here, but printing). My utility window shows grayscale printing "OFF", leading me to believe it could be turned on.
  • Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, Sharp Tones & Colors
  • Cons: cannot set grayscale printing

A fair printer

austerus, Canon
16 March 2014
  • Conclusion: I bought this as a cheap printer that connects via WiFi to my network and the WiFi part works great. Unlike what some people believe, the printer doesn't connect to a computer directly via WiFi, but you need a router in the middle of the network.
  • Pros: fairly fast printing, good value for price, wifi is fairly reliable, high quality scans
  • Cons: expensive cartridges, colors aren't separate

Wouldn't recommend it.

jimbala, Ebay
2 February 2014
  • Summary: Can only connect to my network via usb cable and not wirelessly. I’ve tried everything to connect wirelessly and nothing works. Tech support is of no help. They tried selling me a new router for $200.

Best feature is the tech support

George, Canon
10 January 2014
  • Conclusion: I buy Canon because of its free US based tech support. You can get a real, live person who you can understand and understands the problem--for free. This is important because the wireless connection set up--the reason why I bought the printer-does not connect easily.
  • Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors, two sided printing
  • Cons: Difficult Setup, paper catcher does not catch multiple pages, wireless printer does not have much range

The Canon MG3220 is probably an excellent product but I caution beginners!

doctorwho2113, Ebay
13 June 2013
  • Summary: Unfortunately, I may have to live with it. The Canon MG3220 has trouble recognizing wireless hook-up with my upgraded laptop Latitude E4300, let alone many menus I have to search through just to get a decent printout via USB.

MG3220 is afraid of printing wirelessly

MrMap, Amazon
6 May 2013
  • Summary: This is a great little printer for the money. At under $75 it prints documents beautifully both in color and b&w. I've printed clip art for my son's birthday and it was not only quick and nice looking but it didn't drink up all the color ink. So far so good right...
