Conclusion: I've owned this printer for one year now. I'm happy with my purchase. It prints and scans documents well enough. My only qualms is the device is much slower than my previous all-in-one, especially when it comes to scanning. Other reviewers mention problems with the wireless function. I had this problem in the beginning.
Conclusion: Overall I am pleased with the unit: easy wifi setup (Mac); good print quality, average ink usage. However, the utility does not permit grayscale printing (not talking scanning here, but printing). My utility window shows grayscale printing "OFF", leading me to believe it could be turned on. Canon site Knowledge Base did not help. Grayscale printing of documents is useful in my work, but either is not available or I don't know where to look.
Conclusion: I bought this as a cheap printer that connects via WiFi to my network and the WiFi part works great. Unlike what some people believe, the printer doesn't connect to a computer directly via WiFi, but you need a router in the middle of the network. The setup works like this: - connect one computer with drivers installed via cable to printer - setup the printer's WiFi and connect it to the router - disconnect computer from cable After this, all my computers with Windows 7...
Pros: fairly fast printing, good value for price, wifi is fairly reliable, high quality scans
Cons: expensive cartridges, colors aren't separate
Summary: Can only connect to my network via usb cable and not wirelessly. I’ve tried everything to connect wirelessly and nothing works. Tech support is of no help. They tried selling me a new router for $200.
Excerpt: Overall performance seemed ok for the price. I am an I.T. person so setup was not bad, but could be challenging for a novice. In 20 minutes I had it set up and printing wireless on a Win 7 notebook. Be sure to follow all instructions carefully. Print quality looked good and print speed seemed average. No CD setup needed for a Win 8 computer, as it found the device automatically. Durabilty and longevity to be determined.
Pros: Meets Expectations, it's wireless/ print speed/quality is acceptable
Conclusion: I buy Canon because of its free US based tech support. You can get a real, live person who you can understand and understands the problem--for free. This is important because the wireless connection set up--the reason why I bought the printer-does not connect easily. It required about 1/2 of tech support and a computer hook-up. I would not buy this printer if you cannot set the wireless though a computer rather than through WPS.
Pros: Sharp Tones & Colors, two sided printing
Cons: Difficult Setup, paper catcher does not catch multiple pages, wireless printer does not have much range
Excerpt: I really like the quality of the photos I print, but the paper pictures have really bad quality. I also feel this printer uses way too much ink for printing. I printed maybe six photos, provided they were set to high quality prints, but that was all I have printed period... on this printer, but those six photos used all of my ink on brand new cartridges. Still, in all, I would recommend this product for high quality photos.
The Canon MG3220 is probably an excellent product but I caution beginners!

Summary: Unfortunately, I may have to live with it. The Canon MG3220 has trouble recognizing wireless hook-up with my upgraded laptop Latitude E4300, let alone many menus I have to search through just to get a decent printout via USB. I still have to work with it in order to get a darker image when printing from the internet. Otherwise, for now I'll give it an average rating because of the "not so straight-forward instructions..." THANKS ANYWAYS- Hey!!!
Conclusion: The Printer Canon Pixma MG 3220 All-In-One Wireless is probably worth the money for a home printer for a inexpensive inkjet, Good software you can scan print e-mail, etc, No Fax Still haven't hooked it up (wireless yet) using USB cable. Kinda slow and hoping the printer lasts, We'll see, made kinda you "know get what you pay for", Goes through Ink quick and Ink from Canon is alot. Came with hardly any, Overall so far so good We'll see!!
Pros: Compact Design, Easy Setup, Lightweight/Portable, easy to use
Cons: Slow Print Speed, High Ink Consumption, Flimsy Construction
