Summary: well, with such a price I can't ask for more.Firstly,it works well and has the basic functions which a college student need(copy/black,color print). Secondly it is easy to use. However,I can't deny a fact that it is a ink monster who eats up much of ink.Hence, occasionally use for couple of paper is totally fine, but if u need to use it everyday?Hmmm,LOT OF better choices are out there.
Conclusion: I love the Pixma MG 2120. I think for me, was a great purchase. I like the fact of having a scanner, printer all in one. I have had others with even a fax didn't like them as well as this one. It lasted longer for me in the long run. I didn't like the jam ups either. For the most part it was my fault. Making sure your paper was all straight, had no wrinkles of any kind. I ran into those situations a few times.
Summary: Nice size - works very nicely for the low price-- unfortunately, "mine" arrived without the set up CD but a simple phone call remedied the situation - they were quite helpful and a replacement was sent immediately ! The only downside,- ink refills are EXPENSIVE !
Conclusion: I am pretty happy with the performance and features of the new Pixma MG 2120 that I recently purchased, however, it seems to use up a lot more ink than any of the other printers that I have owned in the past. It seems as though I am buying ink very frequently even though I buy the long lasting packs of ink. The ink costs nearly as much as the printer did so I'm wondering if it was a wise choice in purchasing this particular type of printer.
Pros: reliable, Compact Design, Easy Setup, durable, Lightweight/Portable, fast print speed, easy to use
Summary: I ordered a new Canon PIXMA MG2120 all-in-one printer, but not because my old one, which is the same model, is in any way defective. I originally purchased the Canon because the cost of the ink for my HP printer was double the cost of the MG2120, ink included. I'm very pleased with every function and the quality of printed documents using my old Canon PIXMA MG2120.
Summary: Does a good job, I have to turn it on each time I use it. Maybe there's a setting I could change for that but whatever. It takes a minute to ready itself to print, with allot of noise like its cleaning the head or something... but it's given me no problems and i'm happy with the quality, considering the price.
Summary: Does what I need it to do. I would say it's speed is better than average. My only con is that when it is idle for any length of time it turns off and each time you print you have to manually turn it back on. Other than that it's a very good printer in my opinion.
Summary: My wife's HP ink jet blew up last week after a few years of service. I saw this printer at Wally World for $40 - it scans, prints, and makes copies. Killer price. Install was straight forward and problem free on her Windows 7 machine. I installed from the disc included with the printer. Lots of stuff she won't use but no problems. We printed a few pages, copied a few in both color and BW. All seemed to function flawlessly.
