This should be a good and reliable product in the market.

Summary: The quality of scanning is not as good as expected, especially when scanning images in colors or grayscale, the black and white scanning also less than preferred. The function of scanning from computer is a bit annoying as the unit always back to its default position in the unit (requires selection made over and over when it becomes idle). Maybe I didn't carefully read the manual or it is just like that. PS: I purchased it as second hand unit, maybe it might the cause.
Summary: This multifunction office machine is good but it is painfully slow. The settings are confusing. Most of the functions should should be automatic. To scan a document, you have to manually wake it up, switch it to scanning mode, then choose where you want to save the scanned file. Ugh... The machine take up to 15 seconds to cycle back to standby after printing. Why? I don't know. The manual tray feeder is tricky also. You cannot push the print stock in.
Summary: I debated 2 or 3 stars, but the color is very good, so 3. The USB scanning feature is also very good and it will talk to both MAC and PC. It seldom jams and the after market cartridges are not too badly priced. Photos look good. Still working after several years with no repairs. Bad stuff. It's big, loud, slow and the paper tray capacity is tiny. It takes forever to warm up and print over the network, so if I am in a hurry, I use my old Xerox.
Summary: After 2 years working with this printer, I need to update my review.. Pros: excellent quality. That is it. Cons: VERY slow. Takes a good 30 seconds for the printer to start doing anything when you send a job. Then it has to warm up (another 20 seconds or so). Not terrible when it finally starts printing, but most definitely on the slower end of laser printers. Anything more than 3-4 pages and it usually needs to pause every few pages before it continues printing.
Summary: After using numerous high-end Canon products at the office I decided to look for an inexpensive model for my home office. This all-in-one was deeply discounted at my local warehouse store (under $300) so after reading a few reviews--some good but most dismal--I decided to try it out knowing my needs were limited and I could return it without any hassle.
Summary: I thought this MFP would be a little easier to use from reading pre-reviews and Canon's hype. It takes a while to wake up and is quite noisy. In order to use an envelope one has to fumble through the LCD menu to set it for envelopes. Print quality is good but it certainly takes a a while to spit out the 1st page. I had to turn the sleep mode timer all the way up so it doesn't take as long. If you have this in your work area, expect it to be noisy.
