Summary: I absolutely hate this printer. When my coworker brought it in and was so excited about the "all-in-one" aspect I had no choice but to set it up and use it. It's abundantly clear that the toner is going to cost us $100 every 3 weeks. Not to mention it keeps saying the toner is empty and won't print. So I shake it the ink coming out is just as new as when we bought the toner yet it still say's out of toner and won't print.
Summary: Cheap, the only thing going for it. You can print over the network and that's about it. For an office it is useless and there is no duplexer, can't scan legal docs, impossible to setup for special paper, none of the functions work over the internet. A true S*** product. Canon customer service can't make a product that shipped unusable work. Beat it up just as shown in Office Space.
Summary: I've owned a lot of printers in my day. This one is by far the most difficult to use. I don't know why it needs to be this difficult. It's like they were trying to make my life harder. You would think a big company like Canon would have someone in charge of usability before launching this product to the world. It also feels like this is the first printer the company has ever made or something. Print speed is pretty great, I must say. Price was great.
Summary: It has an Ethernet card but it is necessary to manually enter commands on the printer console to print anything other that a standard 8.5 x 11 page. Manual entries are also required for scanning functions. In order to get the scanner to work I had to use the USB connection as well as the LAN connection. Only the very basic commands for 8.5 x 11 page setup in MS word are recognized by the printer.
Summary: I bought this printer over better reviewed color laser multi-functions because of my good experience with the b&w Canon MF4270. my large format color HP died, so now I needed color and color MF's had scaled in price and size. Setup was easy enough, although the menus were deep and complicated. just finding how to set up Distinctive Ring required a call to tech support and I never call tech support. But I felt better when the question stumped two techs.

Die Installations-CD hat nicht funktioniert, der Treiber war zunächst auf Internet kaum zu finden, danach liess sich der Drucker auch nur mit Hilfe des Supports installieren - über Internet funktioniert das Drucken aber immer noch nicht.
