Summary: The only thing I don't like about this printer is that I have to manually reset the paper settings each time I use a different kind of paper (legal vs. standard, etc.). Otherwise, it's great! Plan ahead though and make sure you have room for it - it's a beast!
Summary: I absolutely hate this printer. When my coworker brought it in and was so excited about the "all-in-one" aspect I had no choice but to set it up and use it. It's abundantly clear that the toner is going to cost us $100 every 3 weeks. Not to mention it keeps saying the toner is empty and won't print. So I shake it the ink coming out is just as new as when we bought the toner yet it still say's out of toner and won't print.
Summary: This is a beautiful machine. It fits easily in the home office. It is very easy to use and can do almost any task I may ever need. The toner cartridges are long lasting, individual, and easy to swap out. They are readily available locally, and much cheaper online. I thought laser toner would cost much more than inkjet, but the opposite it true. I couldn't be happier. I find myself going in to the office just to admire it..
Summary: Cheap, the only thing going for it. You can print over the network and that's about it. For an office it is useless and there is no duplexer, can't scan legal docs, impossible to setup for special paper, none of the functions work over the internet. A true S*** product. Canon customer service can't make a product that shipped unusable work. Beat it up just as shown in Office Space.
Summary: bit slow warming up to print. solid features. document feeder is great. large foot print. plenty of out puts input choices. would have liked wi-fi. toner status could be improved. the way the green color button sits it's real easy to accidently hit the color fax or scan instead of the black.
Summary: Pros: excellent quality, all in-one, network ready, fairly easy setup Cons: VERY slow. Takes a good 30 seconds for the printer to start doing anything when you send a job. Then it has to warm up (another 20 seconds or so). Not terrible when it finally starts printing, but most definitely on the slower end of laser printers.
Summary: The Canon MF8050 laser works well and was an easy set up. Scanning results are better if the color setting is used instead of the black and white setting. I was worried about it interfacing with my Dell with Vista operating system, but no problems. I recommend this printer, copier, scanner.
Summary: The printer was here quickly. It was easy to set up and get going. The quality for what I have used it for thus far is awesome. The only bad part is if you are printing papers off of different programs all in the same short time period it gets backed up a little. I print out my payroll spreadsheets and online tax pay all in the same short time frame so it takes a minute for it to "boot" back up to print from a different program. Other than that I LOVE THIS PRINTER!
